Astrology and Intuition IS A Dynamic Duo

Each of the twelve astrological signs symbolizes unique ways that intuition can weave its magic through them. In my opinion, no one sign has a monopoly on making use of intuition. The universe filters its magnificent collective waves of intelligence through the signs, which act as filters to manifest this energy into meaningful reality. The signs point the way for each of us to express our intuition creatively and with clear sense of purpose.

When you get your astrological chart done based on your date, place, and time of birth, it becomes evident that your consciousness is a mixture of the twelve signs. Life is a twelve-step process! Each sign offers us a path to tune into our intuition and take us a step closer to greater evolutionary growth.

Each Sun sign belongs to an element: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. The Fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) are fast to act on intuitive impulses, making the world respond quickly to their goals. The Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn) prefer to proceed with caution. It is as though intuition is a stabilizing force leading to pragmatic and focused planning. The Air signs (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius) have a tendency to reflect with their intuition. Why? To ensure that their mental insights are filled with logic and polished with clarity. The Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces) have a natural ability to tap into intuition but are not always fast to act on it (the reason being that they want to process what the energy means before putting it into action).

The psychic and intuitive forces of the universe are alive and well in all of us! It only takes a bit of awakening to our inner potential to get the gifts this miraculous energy can deliver to make our lives more fulfilling, healing, and enlightening. When we make use of intuition we can experience that the great psychologist Carl Jung called Synchronicity, which symbolizes a meaningful coincidence. Synchronicity can confirm that we are tuning into the messages being sent to us by intuition.

I also teach how the four functions described by Carl Jung (Emotion, Intellect, Sensation, and Intuition) correspond to the four elements. Emotion is similar in nature to the Fire element; Intellect fits with the Air Element; Sensation is very much like the Earth element; Intuition is linked to the Water element. How might the sign Aries make use of intuition? This Fiery spirit is like a laser beam of enthusiasm. The warrior sign can be bold to put intuition to work while everyone else is still thinking about taking the first step! Creative power manifests like a bolt of lightning. However, there is another side of the coin to consider. There are times intuitive forces are asking this Mars-ruled fire sign to slow down (the reason being that Aries can actually get greater results when pausing for a moment to consider the consequences of actions). Also, long-range planning or adopting a little structure can empower the intended plan. The reward for taking the time to deepen an intuitive awareness is spending less energy to get the same result, maybe even a better one. The synchronicity that can manifest when Aries utilizes clear intuition is more balanced relationships, career success, and a clearer sense of identity.

Taurus is careful when using intuition. This Earthy spirit moves as though each step along the way must have solid ground underfoot. Intuitive forces are welcomed if they promise to lead to practical results. Stability is the lifeline of this sign. Creative power builds slowly and releases with a force that can knock any obstacle out of its way. On occasion, the universe asks Taurus to allow the intuition it sends greater spontaneity to roam more freely to point the way to new abundant turf. Intuition will entice Taurus to drop a resistance to trying alternative ways to happiness and seeking greater challenges. There are times when intuitive forces will encourage this Venus-ruled sign to have greater belief in ideals and not fear fighting for them. The synchronicity that might result when Taurus has faith in intuition is a life of balanced inner peace sitting along side an outer life that is aligned with creative potential.

Gemini is fast-thinking and mentally excited when using intuition. This Airy spirit moves briskly through life, skipping along with ideas that constantly pulsate through those electrifying brain synapses. Diversity and open options are as dear to Gemini as oxygen is to breathe. Intuitive flashes stimulate this sign to move quickly with mental objectivity and with laser-like perceptions that stay eager for new information. The universe sends intuitive clues to Gemini about networking with the right people and keeping abreast of the latest societal trends. Communication is what inspires this Mercury-ruled sign to make use of intuition and it is the gateway for it to manifest. There are instances when the universe asks Gemini to intuitively change course and pursue deeper knowledge that can take this curious sign to self-mastery. The synchronicity that can manifest when Gemini learns not to fear using emotional energy is a life filled with a clearer mental balance and less psychological burnout.

Cancer becomes emotional and intrigued by the use of intuition. Honest! This Watery spirit knows something magical is taking place and eventually becomes a witness to the intuitive process itself as events transpire connected to utilizing this energy. Intuition is more of a ritual for Cancer, and for some of this sign a deep spiritual/religious experience. Home, family, pets, and nature are allies. The universe at times asks Cancer to initiate a plan to act on but then suddenly sends a second wave of intuition that says pause. It is this rhythm of move and pause that allows Cancer to more clearly adopt a life script that fits its needs. Some perceive Cancer as complicated to understand for this reason, although this Moon-ruled sign simply sees this as business as usual. The Ocean’s tides have a similar pulse in that they come in and move out with predictable movement, and so does this lunar-ruled sign. The synchronicity that can find birth when Cancer consciously embraces intuition is a life aligned with emotional security, clear dependency needs, and rewarding creative accomplishments.

Leo engages intuition in a dramatic and lively manner (it is more like a roar with this solar-ruled Fiery spirit). Being the center of attention is sometimes a desire with this sign, but not always is this the case. The universe can send messages that tuning into intuition is a matter of self-confidence but can require a dose of humility. Leo has a strong pride in seeing its efforts bring results. Flexibility is the key to making use of intuition for Leo, and it may not come easy. The interesting thing about Leo is that sometimes it is well in the middle of a plan or creative process that intuitive instincts get clearer and stronger. It is crucial for Leo not to lose confidence or patience when an idea takes time to come to fruition. Why? Because this is when the intuitive process may be gaining greater strength and insight. The synchronicity that greets Leo when having faith in intuition is more fulfilling love shared with others and feeling the full intensity of creative exploration that can produce recognition from others.

Virgo screens intuition carefully, or perhaps it is more accurate to say listens to it as though it is auditioning it for a part in a play. When convinced an intuitive insight has merit, this Mercury-ruled Earthy spirit can put ideas to work in a hurry. Mental persistence and an analytical nature come standard with this sign. When the universe sends intuitive information in the form of thoughts, dreams, or ideals, it is key for Virgo not to too quickly write them off as unreal or impractical. In between the lines of a symbol could be the inspirational force needed to carry out a special project or pursue a fulfilling goal. Virgo is wise not to dwell on negative thinking. It is the talent to sense perfection from imperfection that separates this sign from the others. When transcending self-doubt life is more magical and opportunities come quicker. The synchronicity reward can suddenly become a reality when surrendering a relentless attention to detail to trusting an intuitive hunch and acting with faith in beliefs.

Libra weighs intuition thoughtfully on a scale of what would be the right choice to make to avoid conflict. This sign does like the feeling it can experience when finally resolving difficult decisions. This Venus-ruled Airy spirit has a knack in utilizing intuition in an artistic way. Social interacting and romance often launches intuitive intensity in this sign. Mental insights can guide Libra toward a deeper way of intuiting the right paths to self-growth and inner fulfillment. Indecision is what can throw a major curveball into moving forward with assertiveness. Walking that delicate balance between satisfying personal goals with expectations of others is a constant need. The universe may send a strong intuitive signal to Libra that jumping off the fence of not making a decision is liberating. Becoming un-conflicted about making choices is freedom. People skills are usually highly developed in this sign. Synchronicity is a pleasant surprise achieved through not second-guessing a well-conceived plan and not overly trying to please others.

Scorpio has a strong tenacious emotional field surrounding its consciousness, and intuition has to knock extra hard to penetrate this very focused Watery spirit. It should be said that when this Pluto-ruled sign lets intuition guide its thinking and feelings, amazing creative power can manifest with great passion! This is a sign that often has an agenda that may remain hidden but eventually made visible to those they trust. When the universe comes calling with intuitive gifts Scorpio must decide, sooner or later, what to do with this energy. It is not so unusual for the universe to send a second and possibly a third wave of intuitive energy in a persistent manner to get the attention of this sign that prefers life on its own terms. Learning to convert negative tendencies into positive expression leads to self-mastery and success. Synchronicity surfaces in the form of a sense of rebirth, insights into marketing skills, and renewed personal empowerment when facing inner fears through embracing honest self-examination.

Sagittarius moves so fast that it appears actions and intuition occur simultaneously. It should be said that this Fiery spirit might not necessarily even be aware that intuition is leading the charge forward. This sign lit with a fuel-injected enthusiasm has really no rival in this department of feeling naturally optimistic. Occasionally a little slowing down allows this Jupiter-ruled sign a fast instant to grab the hand of intuition and make the right choice in the nick of time. Life is more rewarding when Sagittarius keeps an open mind and stays clear of dogmatism. The universe is more likely to send intuitive waves when this fireball maintains a broad perspective. Perceiving the cup as at least half full keeps options open and opportunities plentiful. When the mind is radiating a generous energy and hunger for learning, intuitive power is readily available. Travel on the mental and physical planes accelerates the pace that intuition works for this sign. Synchronicity manifests in the form of luck and sudden new adventures.

Capricorn puts intuition to the test. This "show-me" Earthy spirit has a very pragmatic mind. There is a protective guard around this sign similar to Saturn, its planetary ruler. The universe is attracted to the structure-orientation of Capricorn because it knows it has found a reliable vehicle to create through. The test for Capricorn is to relax enough into intuitive energy and really go with its flow. It can then sense the rewards that comes from having the faith to release this creative power into the world. Intuitive energy knows it will be well-utilized in this very grounded sign; there is no other sign as determined to finish what is started. Responsibility and ambition come naturally. Relinquishing fear releases endless opportunities. Synchronicity comes through not resisting change and balancing common sense with higher ideals.

Aquarius can run like the wind with intuition as though it has been hit by a bolt of sudden, lightning-like insight! The mind of this Uranus-ruled Airy spirit does not move in a linear fashion. Some would perceive this as erratic, but to Aquarius this is just an ordinary routine. This sign thinks very fast as a general rule and might not be aware it is following an intuitive impulse. Seeking new and interesting life pursuits is a constant drive. This is not a very emotional sign; feelings are stored within a logical framework. The inventive nature of Aquarius is in its DNA. A desire to rebel against a regular schedules is sometimes when intuition manifests almost by accident. When the universe blows waves of intuition toward this breezy soul it intrigues the intellect of Aquarius. It is the challenge that intuition presents in the form of a puzzle that entices this sign to move forward in unique ways. Synchronicity emerges when Aquarius is acting upbeat and excited about a future filled with unusual experiences.

Pisces drinks intuition as a regular diet, but may be doing this unconsciously. This Neptune-ruled Watery spirit walks a fine line between the conscious and subconscious mind. A strong idealism and emotional sensitivity colors the inner lining of Piscean thinking. The universe enjoys coming into the Pisces world through dreams and the arts. The test for Pisces is having faith in intuition. Creative power becomes a reality when Pisces merges its belief system with goals. Sound reality-testing keeps this sign more focused and balanced. Denial and excessive escapism dilute the potential of intuitive opportunities. Facing adversity in a direct manner unleashes inner clarity and attracts success. It helps to become aware that an extreme attachment to making things perfect could be the enemy of the good and inner peace. Synchronicity comes to greet Pisces vibrantly when walking the talk with confidence and keeping expectations of self and others reasonable.

Massey - 'Ancient Egypt' - "According to the synoptic, it was on the 15th of the month Nisan that the Crucifixion occurred. But according to John, it was on the 14th. These two different reckonings are solar and lunar. When time was reckoned by the lunar month of twenty-eight days, the 14th was the day of mid-month, or full moon, the day of the equinox and of the Easter Pasch. In the luni-solar reckoning of thirty days to the month, the 15th was the day of full moon in the equinox. The two dates for the Crucifixion are identical with these two possible dates for the equinox. There was a fortnight, or half-moon of fourteen days, and a half-month of fifteen days. The French fortnight is quinze jours, or fifteen days, and this is the fifteen-day fortnight of the Christian festivals, the Passion and the Resurrection. The 14th Nisan was true to the lunar calculation of time, but the 15th was also needed for the solar reckoning, and, as usual, the Christian founders have brought on both in aiming at the one supposed event. It has lately become known, from a lexicographical tablet belonging to the library of Assurbanipal, that the Assyrians also kept a Sabbath (Shapatu) of the 15th day of the month, or full moon in the luni-solar reckoning.

Thus the crucifixion assigned by the synoptic to the 15th Nisan was according to the solar month, and the 14th assigned by John was lunar, both being astronomical, and both impossible as dates in human history. The festival of the seventh day is Jewish, and a festival of the eighth day was continued by the Christians. Barnabas (Ep. 15) says, "We observe the eighth day with gladness, in which Jesus rose from the dead". This identifies the eighth day as a Sunday, and only in the Egyptian way of celebrating the 15th following the Tenait on the seventh can the eighth day be a Sabbath. The seventh day was Saturday, the day of Sebek. The eighth day was Sunday, once a month, the day of Ra, and thus the eighth day became the Lord's day in the pre-Christian religion; and the origin of both festivals or Sabbaths of the seventh day and of the 15th, eight days afterwards, can be traced to the sun-god as Horus and the sun-god as Ra (Rit., ch. 113, 7).

Fourteen thousand years ago the vernal equinox coincided with the sign of Virgo and the autumn equinox with the sign of Pisces. And here they learned writer Eratosthenes has a word to say upon this point. He is a most unimpeachable witness for the Egyptians; a better could not be subpoenaed. He was born in the year 276 B.C. He was keeper of the great Alexandrian library and the most learned Greek in Egypt at the time. Amongst other subjects he wrote on was astronomy and he testifies to the fact that the festival of Isis, which was celebrated in his time at the autumn equinox, had been celebrated when the Easter equinox was in Virgo. This perfectly agrees with the position of Isis, the Virgin Mother in the Zodiac. During those six months in the great year=six signs, the child as periodic fulfiller of time and season in the Zodiac, together with the birth and birthplace, was receding through the six signs in precession, from Virgo to Pisces. Thirteen thousand years later the autumn equinox coincided once more with the sign of Virgo. Now there is no meeting-point of the mythology with the astronomy more obvious than in these two signs of the Zodiac. But it is impossible that this imagery should have been constellated in the planisphere the last time the equinoxes entered them, which was about the year 255 B.C., where they still linger at the present moment. And the time before that, in round numbers, was 26,000 years previously.

It is a fixed fundamental fact that the death and rebirth of the year were commemorated at this time from the 20th to the 25th of July, when the birth of Horus was announced by the star Sothis or the Bennu=Phoenix. It is equally a fact that when the solar Horus had entered the Zodiac the birthplace was shifted from sign to sign, according to the movement in precession, from Virgo to Leo, from Cancer to the Gemini, from Taurus to Aries, from Aries to Pisces. The pathway of eternity was now depicted in the circle of precession. In this the sonship of Horus was continued after the fatherhood of God had been established, and Horus became the manifestos for the eternal in the sphere of solar time. Hence the sayings of Horus in the Ritual. "I am Horus, the prince of eternity". "Witness of Eternity is my name" (ch. 42). He calls himself "the persistent traveler on the highways of heaven", which he surveys as "the everlasting one". "I am Horus", he says, "who steppeth onwards through eternity" - without stopping or ever standing still.

The Divine mother and child had been humanized in the Egyptian religion when the stone monuments begin for us, at least ten thousand years ago, but the zootypes were still continued as data in sign-language. This was the knowledge that was in possession of the Wise Men, the Magi, the Zoroastrians, Jews, Gnostics, Essenes and others who kept the reckoning, read the signs, and knew the time at which the advent was to occur, once every fourteen lifetimes (14x71-2 years), in the "house of a thousand years", or once every 2,155 years, when the prince of peace was to be reborn as the lamb in the sign of the ram, or as Ichthus the fish in the sign of Pisces. He had been born as a calf in the sign of the bull; as the beetle in cancer; as the lion in Leo; as the red shoot of the vine in Virgo; as lord of the balance in the Scales. And when the Easter equinox had moved round slowly into the sign of the ram, the coming fulfiller of the cycle was Jesus or Horus, that "Lamb of God", who is supposed to have become historical 2,410 years later to take away the sins of the Christian world."

The Meek Shall Inherit The Earth

Massey - 'Ancient Egypt' - "In this new Jerusalem on earth it was to be as it had been in the maat upon the mount, where Atum or Osiris imaged the eternal on his seat who presided over the pole of heaven (Rit., ch. 7). Every man was to speak the truth with his neighbour, and execute the judgment of truth and peace in their gates after attaining the maat. Amongst the Egyptian sayings that have been taken literally by the Jews and Christians is the statement that the meek shall inherit the earth. We read in the Psalms, "Those that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the land. Yet a little while and the wicked shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Their inheritance shall be forever. But the wicked shall perish. Such as be blessed of him shall inherit the land, and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land. Wait on the Lord, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land" (Psalm 37). If such promises and prophecies had applied to the lands of this world (which they did not), our English race would have proved itself to have been the most righteous people on earth, and the landless Jews the most utterly deceived by the Lord on whom they waited, like the hungry animal in the fable, when he depended on the word of the nurse who threatened to throw the child to the wolf, and was deceived regarding his supper. It never was our earth that the meek or the righteous were to inherit, but the land in the earth of a future life, the land that was promised to the doers of right and the fulfillers of justice on this earth, who became the cultivators in the fields of divine harvest for eternity. In the Egyptian teaching this land of promise, of plenty, and of peace was the land of Hetep, the garden of Aarru, the elysian fields, the paradise of spirits perfected who were the only righteous on the summit of the mount, which had to be attained by long climbing in the life hereafter as well as in the life on earth. That was the only land to be attained by those who waited on the Lord. It was a land of pure delight mapped out in the northern heaven, to be seen through the darkness that covered the earth by night. In that land every worker had his appointed portion given to cultivate and bring forth his share of produce. There were no Feringhees or eaters of the earth up there. But change the venue and pervert the teaching by making this land of promise an earthly possession, as is done all through the biblical writings, and you have an alleged divine sanction and warrant for all the robbery of land and all the iniquity that has been perpetrated against the weaker races of the aborigines by God Almighty's favourite whites. The Jews professed to wait upon the Lord, therefore they were to inherit the land. The Spaniards like-wise waited on the Lord, and therefore the lands of the Peruvians and Mexicans were theirs by divine right. So has it been with the English in America, in Australia, in Africa. They who wait upon the Lord once a week, or once a year upon Atonement Day, without atonement, shall inherit the earth. And all the time such teaching is not only utterly immoral, not only ethically false; it never had the significance assigned to it by the Jews and Christians when first taught by the Egyptians. A false bottom has thus been laid by this perversion of old Egypt's wisdom, and on that false bottom have the Jews and Christians built for this world, whereas the Egyptians laid their foundations for eternity.

The Garden of Eden

Massey - 'Ancient Egypt' - "The Aarru paradise in Amenta is also the garden of the two trees, the same as the Hebrew garden of Eden. A form of Eden is undoubtedly Babylonian, even by name. According to 'the native tradition, the type was localized in Eridu, the place of the eternal tree or stalk at the centre of the circumpolar paradise, or of Eridu in the firmamental water termed "the abyss". In the mythos the Great Mother is called " the divine lady of Edin", and also "the goddess of the tree of life". As the tree she brings forth her child, the branch, the same as Hathor does in Egypt. The name of Hathor signifies the house of Horus, as the tree. So the Great Mother Zikum is the house of Tammuz, as the tree that grew in Eridu. But the Egyptian stalk of the uat or papyrus plant is indefinitely earlier than the typical tree. One fact of itself will serve to show that the biblical Eden was not derived from the Assyrian Edin, because in this garden there is but a single tree, which is apparently the tree of life. The divine lady of Edin is the goddess of the tree of life, and there is no mention of a tree of knowledge. Secondly, the serpent as a type of evil in the book of Genesis is not the Babylonian dragon Tiamat. The biblical dragon is of neither sex, whereas Tiamat is female. The Hebrew dragon or evil serpent is the Apap of Egypt from Genesis to Revelation. Apap is a water-reptile whose dwelling is at the bottom of the dark waters called the void of Apap, from which it rises in rebellion as the representative of drought. This is the serpent described by Amos: "Though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them" (Amos ix. 3). Another reason. The Hebrew Eden is in a land that was watered by a mist that went up from the ground, and where no rain fell on the earth (Genesis 2:5-6). That land above all earthly prototypes was Egypt, which assuredly did not suffer like Babylonia from the "curse of rain", from which the Akkadian month "As-an" was named. But there was a pre-solar paradise enclosure which had but one tree in it.

This as Egyptian is the paradise of Am-Khemen, which Shu uplifted with his two-pronged prop that images the pole, when he divided earth from heaven and raised the upper circumpolar paradise. Paradise, says Ibn Ezra, is the place of one tree. Mount Hetep in the northern heaven is a kind of typical one-tree-hill.

The two trees in the garden of Eden can be accounted for upon Egyptian ground, but on no other; one being the tree of the pole in the stellar mythos, the other the tree of life or of dawn in the garden eastward. The two typical trees are recognizable as Egyptian in the Book of the Dead. In one chapter (97th) they are called the two divine sycamores of heaven and earth. The sycamore of heaven is identified as the tree of Nut. It stands in "the lake of equipoise", which is at the celestial pole. The tree of earth is the tree of Hathor and of dawn. Atum-Ra, the solar god, is also described as coming forth from betwixt the two trees. "I know those two sycamores of emerald, between which Ra cometh forth as he advances over the firmament" ( ch. 109). The tree of earth, or Hathor, and the tree of heaven, or Nut, were brought on together and united in the tree of burial for the mummy. Wherever it was possible the Egyptian-coffin was made from the wood of the sycamore tree, the khat-en-ankhu, or tree of life, so that the dead might be taken in the embrace of the mother of life, who was represented by the tree. This was Hathor as bringer to birth in the mythology, and Nut the bringer of-souls to their rebirth in the eschatology. The relative positions of these two goddesses with the tree were illustrated by the pictures painted on the coffin. Hathor as a form of the mother-earth, the tree-form, is portrayed inside the coffin on the board upon which the mummy rested, taking the dead to her embrace as the mother of life. Nut, the mother-heaven, was represented on the inner part of the coffin-lid arching over the mummy as bringer of the manes to new life above. It was burial in the tree when the tree had come to be elaborately carved in the shape of a coffin. This symbolized a resurrection of the spirit from the tree of life as Horus rose again from out the tree of dawn. Now when Amenta was planted by Ptah, the father of Atum, several features of the circumpolar paradise, as before said, were not only repeated, they were duplicated. One of these was the typical tree. The tree of the pole remained as the central support of the universe, the tree of the three worlds, i.e., of Amenta, earth and heaven (Egyptian) Arali, earth and heaven (Babylonian) hell, mid-gard and heaven (Norse), and others that might be added. In Egypt this was almost superseded by the tat of Ptah, which is a pillar of the four corners based upon the tree as type of the pole when this was erected in Amenta. Thus, the primal paradise was the place of one tree. The paradise or garden in Amenta is the place of two trees - because the ground-rootage had been doubled in phenomena. These two trees appear in the Ritual as the tree of Hathor and the tree of Nut; the tree of earth and the tree of heaven; the tree of the north and the tree of the east.

The two trees in the garden of Eden can be accounted for upon Egyptian ground, but on no other; one being the tree of the pole in the stellar mythos, the other the tree of life or of dawn in the garden eastward. The two typical trees are recognizable as Egyptian in the Book of the Dead. In one chapter (97th) they are called the two divine sycamores of heaven and earth. The sycamore of heaven is identified as the tree of Nut. It stands in "the lake of equipoise", which is at the celestial pole. The tree of earth is the tree of Hathor and of dawn. Atum-Ra, the solar god, is also described as coming forth from betwixt the two trees. "I know those two sycamores of emerald, between which Ra cometh forth as he advances over the firmament" ( ch. 109). The tree of earth, or Hathor, and the tree of heaven, or Nut, were brought on together and united in the tree of burial for the mummy. Wherever it was possible the Egyptian-coffin was made from the wood of the sycamore tree, the khat-en-ankhu, or tree of life, so that the dead might be taken in the embrace of the mother of life, who was represented by the tree. This was Hathor as bringer to birth in the mythology, and Nut the bringer of-souls to [Page 449] their rebirth in the eschatology. The relative positions of these two goddesses with the tree were illustrated by the pictures painted on the coffin. Hathor as a form of the mother-earth, the tree-form, is portrayed inside the coffin on the board upon which the mummy rested, taking the dead to her embrace as the mother of life. Nut, the mother-heaven, was represented on the inner part of the coffin-lid arching over the mummy as bringer of the manes to new life above. It was burial in the tree when the tree had come to be elaborately carved in the shape of a coffin. This symbolized a resurrection of the spirit from the tree of life as Horus rose again from out the tree of dawn. Now when Amenta was planted by Ptah, the father of Atum, several features of the circumpolar paradise, as before said, were not only repeated, they were duplicated. One of these was the typical tree. The tree of the pole remained as the central support of the universe, the tree of the three worlds, i.e., of Amenta, earth and heaven (Egyptian) Arali, earth and heaven (Babylonian) hell, mid-gard and heaven (Norse), and others that might be added. In Egypt this was almost superseded by the tat of Ptah, which is a pillar of the four corners based upon the tree as type of the pole when this was erected in Amenta. Elohim

One of the Mysteries of the Bible occurs in the first verse of Genesis. Elohim should be translated as Gods, yet it is presented to us in the King James Version in the Singular. We have to look at the Egyptian origin to understand why the One God is so often given plurality.

The following extract from Gerald Massey's work tells us how the Egyptians saw God in many characters. The reader is urged though to read the paragraphs that follow, in Ancient Egypt - Light of the World for a better understanding.

Massey - 'Ancient Egypt' - "The word Elohim in Hebrew is employed both as a singular and a plural noun for god and gods, or spirits, with no known origin in phenomena by which the plurality could be explained. For this we must consult the Egyptian wisdom in the mythos which preceded the eschatology. In the "Dispatches from Palestine" there is a perfect parallel to the twofold use of Elohim in the plural and singular forms employed in the Hebrew book. The scribe addressing the Egyptian Pharaoh says, "To the king, my lord, my gods, my sun-god". (Records of the Past, vol. ii., p. 62, 2nd series.) Here the gods were the powers gathered into the one god as supreme. These when seven-fold were called the souls of Ra. They become the eight in the paradise of Am-Khemen. They are nine in the Put-cycle of Ptah, they were ten as the sephiroth of the kabalists, they are twelve in the final heaven of Atum-Ra. In a word, they are the Elohim as a form of the Egyptian Ali or Ari, a companionship of workers, and later creators. "In the beginning Elohim created the heaven and the earth". The astronomical mythology of Egypt, from the time of Sut to that of Ptah, is involved in that brief statement. There are at least three different groups of the Elohim - that is, the Ali or Ili - with the plural ending of the name as Semitic. The first group of these creators was seven in number, with Sut at their head. The second was that of the eight in Am-Khemen, with Anup added to the seven. The third is the company of Ptah, who formed the Put-circle of the nine. These preceded Atum, who was Ra in his first sovereignty. And to show how the past of Egypt opens into immensity, Ptah is credited with being the supreme ruler for 9,000 years. Still earlier the followers of Horus reigned for 14,000 years and, as the astronomical legends show, the primary seven creators had previously marked out one great year in the circle of precession before they could become those lords of eternity at, the north celestial pole, which were represented by a group of seven stars that never set. Under the title of Elohim, both the one god and the company of gods are present, though concealed, just as Ptah and his associates the Ali were included in the Put-cycle, as Ptah the god, Iu the son of god, and the paut as the group of gods. And if the Put-cycle of the Ali, as now maintained, are the originals of the Phoenician and Hebrew Elohim, it follows that the deity Ptah is the one god of the group in the Genesis as well as in the original mythos. Although the name of Ptah may not be given, yet the creator as the worker in earth, the potter, the moulder or carver, is plainly apparent in the Hebrew Genesis.

Enslavement

There was no enslavement, no bondage and no captivity of the Apiru (Hebrew) people in Egypt.

The 'Lost City' excavated beneath the Pyramids in the 1990's is full of evidence proving that the people who worked to build the Pyramids were not slaves. They came from all over Egypt as families for set periods and did the work because they wanted to. It was more likely to have been out of religious fervour.

Massey - 'Ancient Egypt' - "The truth is that the primary records on which the Bible was based were not a product of the Palestinian Jews." "To illustrate two of these phases: the land of bondage - in the book of Exodus is the Amenta of the solar drama, the lower Egypt of the double earth, the scene of the never-ceasing battles between the powers of light and darkness, the sun-god and the Sebau, Ra and the dragon, or Horus and Sut; Amenta in the mythology becomes Sheol in the Hebrew eschatology. The land of bondage, then, is the place of suffering souls that seek deliverance from the desert of darkness, the prison-house of death and hell. " "It is a captivity that never was historical, in a land of bondage which may be called Babylon, Egypt, or Sodom."

Eating The Body

Massey - 'Ancient Egypt' - "In very old Egyptian traditions Sahu-Orion was represented as the wild hunter who traversed the nether world by night and hunted there whilst it was day on earth. The powers of darkness, the Sebau and the Sami, were the objects of pursuit. They are hunted for food; and the chase, the capture, killing, and cutting up of the carcases are described in the terminology of cannibals - so ancient is the legend of the wild hunter, a form of whom may probably survive with us as Herne= Orion the hunter. In the solar mythos the lord of light was Horus, or, later, Ra or Osiris, waging war upon the evil powers in the under-world, and hunting them to death by night and devouring them as the mode of destruction; the drama being represented in the stellar phase with the figure of Orion as the lord of light made visible by night. The cannibalism of the past becomes present in the language of the inscriptions. Eating and drinking were the primary modes of assimilating strength and sustenance. The idea still lives in partaking of the eucharistic meal in which the god is supposed to be assimilated by the eating and drinking of the elements. It is said in the Book of the Dead (ch.149) that the great spirits, the khus, or glorious ones, "live on the shades of the motionless". They eat the souls of the undeveloped dead; eating being applied to spirit as well as matter.

It is probable that the giant as the eater of the Shades, the as yet unquickened souls of the buried dead, was figured in heaven as the ghoul. The star Beta in the group of Perseus, the hero with Medusa's head, is called Al-Ghul, the ghoul, in the Arabic names of the stars (Higgins, The Names of the Stars and Constellations, p. 27).

In Amenta the ghoul was the eater of the Shades; and like many mythical characters is the denizen of another earth than ours. "O eater of the Manes", says the Osiris, "I am not a thief". (125.17.) This is one of those who prey upon the dead; one of the forty-two types of terror which the guilty had to face in the great judgment hall. Thus, the ghoul or vampire of another earth that survives as eater of the dead in this world was also figured in the planisphere as a type of terror to evil-doers.

Eve

Massey - 'Ancient Egypt' - "The mother of beginnings, the primordial parent in the abyss of earth and the height of heaven, was also reproduced as the Great Mother in Amenta. In the vignettes to the Ritual Apt is portrayed in both forms of the cow, the hippopotamus and the milch-cow, among the papyrus plants of the morass at the foot of the mount of Amenta, as the bringer to rebirth for the upper paradise (Papyrus of Ani., PI. 37). The mother of life on earth was now made protector of the dead in Amenta, and she who was the kindler of the stellar sparks in heaven by night became the re-kindler of the sparks of life from the eclipse of death (Rit., ch. 137, B; Papyrus of Ani, Pap. Nebseni). Thus we can identify Eve, or Chavvah, as Kefa or Kep, the Great Mother, with Adam or Atum in the garden of Amenta. The name of Eve in Hebrew, Chavvah, signifies life or living, whence Eve is the mother of life. Life, however, is a somewhat abstract term. Still the mother of life, as Egyptian, was Khep, Kep, or Kefa = Chavvah by name. Kep signifies the ferment of life, the mystery of fertilisation, the enceinte mother; and Khep, Khev, or Kefa, as Egyptian, we hold to be the original of the Hebrew Chavvah. Kefa appears along with the great scarab in the thirteenth domain of Amenta (Renouf, Book of the Dead, ch. 149, pl.52). Moreover, the lioness Kefa, or Kheft, is a form of Sekhet the solar goddess, who ,was the beloved consort of Ptah and the mother of Atum-Ra.

According to the Jewish legends Adam had two wives, one named Lilith, the other Chavvah, or in the English version, Eve. Atum also had two wives. These at Annu are Neb-hetep and lusaas, the mother of the prince of peace, in her two characters of "lady of peace" and she who is great with lu the coming son (or su), who was the prince of peace as conqueror of the serpent and all the evil powers in earth, in heaven, and in Amenta; otherwise in drought, in darkness, and in death. We can identify the wife of Adam with the old first genetrix of gods and men and mother of beginnings in at least three of her mythical characters. In one she was imaged as Rerit the sow. In another she is Kefa, or Kheft, the lioness. Lastly, she was portrayed as the mother of life in human form, the prototype of Eve. Now, as the mother of Atum was the lioness Sekhet, as the mother of "the princes of Israel" was a lioness (Ezekiel 19 : 2) who nourished young lions for her whelps, the inference is that Eve or Chavvah represents the lioness Kefa. In Rabbinical tradition Lilith is known as Adam's first wife, but only Chavvah has been brought on as Eve in the garden of the beginning."

Exodus

There was no Exodus.

Massey - 'Ancient Egypt' - "The Egyptian Exodus is a mystery of Amenta." . "A knowledge of the matter at first hand in the Egyptian rendering will disintegrate the historical captivity and exodus, leaving but little to set foot upon beyond a heap of ever-shifting sand." "Egypt and the desert were the two parts in the double-earth that was divided between Sut and Horus, betwixt whom was internecine war that only ended temporarily at the coming of the prince of peace who came to set the prisoners free from the land of bondage, of drought and darkness, of Apap and the plagues of Egypt in the under-world.

There are no records of the Exodus.

Bushby - "The Secret in the Bible" - page 90 - "The Exodus is a major event in the Bible but growing controversy has surrounded its actuality. The description of the departure of the Israelites from Egypt from took forty decades in which Moses played a significant role. In thousands of inscriptions that survive, however, nothing is recorded that relates to the mass exodus of 600,000 men and their families. Many people found it inconceivable that such a significant Old Testament episode and the dramatic disasters associated with it, could have struck as well organized a people without their recording them, particularly the River Nile turning to human blood."

The Wilderness Wandering never lasted for forty years.

Massey - 'Ancient Egypt' - "Here was the wilderness of the wanderings during the forty days of the Egyptian Lent, which represented the forty days of the seed that was buried in the earth to attain the new life in the regermination of Osiris, which forty days were disguised as forty years in the historic version of the Jewish exodus."

The Origins of Voodoo, the Misunderstood Religion

In A.D. 64, a great fire broke out in Rome for six days, and devastated much of the city. According to the writer Tacitus, “Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace.” The “abominations” committed by the early Christians were said to be cannibalism and incest, based on rumors circulating in Rome at that time which stemmed from a misunderstanding of the Eucharist.

This episode in the history of the Early Church shows how easily a religion, especially a relatively secretive one, can be misunderstood and misrepresented. A similar case can perhaps be seen in the religion known as Voodoo (also known as Vodou or Voudon). For many, the word ‘Voodoo’ conjures up images of magical dolls with pins stuck in them to inflict pain on one’s enemies and the resurrection of the dead as zombies. These images are the result of the misrepresentation of Voodoo by popular culture, and do not accurately represent Voodoo as understood by its practitioners.

Most people associate Voodoo with pin-filled dolls, designed to inflict pain on a cursed individual.

Voudon refers to "a whole assortment of cultural elements: personal creeds and practices, including an elaborate system of folk medical practices; a system of ethics transmitted across generations [including] proverbs, stories, songs, and folklore... voudon is more than belief; it is a way of life," wrote Leslie Desmangles, a Haitian professor at Hartford's Trinity College in "The Encyclopedia of the Paranormal" (Prometheus Books, 1996).

“Voudon teaches belief in a supreme being called Bondye, an unknowable and non-involved creator god,” reports Live Science. “Voudon believers worship many spirits (called loa or Iwa), each one of whom is responsible for a specific domain or part of life. So, for example, if you are a farmer you might give praise and offerings to the spirit of agriculture; if you are suffering from unrequited love, you would praise or leave offerings for Erzulie Freda, the spirit of love, and so on. In addition to helping (or impeding) human affairs, loa can also manifest themselves by possessing the bodies of their worshipers. Followers of voudon also believe in a universal energy and a soul that can leave the body during dreams and spirit possession.”

Although the exact origins of Voodoo are unknown, it is generally agreed that this religion has its roots in West Africa. Modern day Benin is regarded as the birth place of this religion, and the name ‘Voodoo’ itself means ‘spirit’ in the local Fon language. It has been suggested that Voodoo in West Africa evolved from the ancient traditions of ancestor worship and animism. The forms of Voodoo practiced today, however, are the results of one of the most inhuman episodes in modern history – the African slave trade that took place between the 16th and 19th centuries.

When African slaves were brought to the Americas to work on plantations, they brought Voodoo with them. Their white masters, however, had other plans regarding the religious practice of their slaves. A 1685 law, for instance, prohibited the practice of African religions, and required all masters to Christianize their slaves within eight days of their arrival in Haiti. Although the slaves accepted Roman Catholicism, they did not give up their traditional beliefs either. Instead, the old and the new were syncretised, producing some unique results. Many of the Catholic saints were identified with traditional Voodoo lwas (spirits) or held a double meaning for the practitioners of Voodoo. For instance, in Haitian Voodoo, St. Peter is recognized as Papa Legba, the gatekeeper of the spirit world, whilst St. Patrick is associated with Dumballah, the snake lwa.

Although African slaves were brought to Haiti and New Orleans about the same time, i.e. the 1720's, the development of Voodoo practice in each area is quite different. In Haiti, Voodoo became a force that gave strength to and sustained the slaves through their hardships and suffering. Between 1791 and 1804, a series of slave revolts inspired by Voodoo practice culminated in the expelling of the French from Haiti. The colonists who survived fled to New Orleans, some accompanied by their French-speaking slaves who were Voodoo practitioners. It is from these new arrivals that Voodoo began to grow in New Orleans. Although Voodoo was practiced in that part of the United States prior to 1791, it was not as strong a force as in Haiti, and was brutally suppressed each time it emerged. It was only in the 19th century that Voodoo practices in New Orleans were codified by the enigmatic Marie Laveau.

Voodoo has since spread to other African nations, the Caribbean, as well as North and South America. In Benin and Haiti, Voodoo is now officially recognized as a religion. Nevertheless, Voodoo is still a rather misunderstood religion due to its inaccurate portrayal by the media. Instead of associating this religion with zombies and Voodoo dolls, we should perhaps take the time to better understand Voodoo, and view it as a way of life or a set of guiding principles held by its believers.

Where Do You Consciously Reside?

Did you know that you are an interdimensional being? You not only reside in the first, second, and third dimensions…keep going…you exist in the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh…and then things get interesting as we move into the higher dimensions, to where our Higher Consciousness resides.

In the third dimension, past/future, cause/effect, etc., give rise to the appearance of separation. Opposites are a perception derived primarily from the left hemisphere of your brain that allows the “you” to declare “I am.” Your limited perception, garnered through your senses, strengthens your belief that you are a separate being

The fourth dimension is where we see the illusion of separation begin to merge again as space and time become space-time.

The fifth dimension is where we see Consciousness expand from Separation Consciousness back toward Unity Consciousness. While still in the physical body, time and even space get a little fuzzy as we are no longer bound by their limitations, but begin to notice time and space give way to what third dimension dwellers call, miracles.

Transcending apparent limitations is not really miraculous to the seasoned fifth dimension dweller, or rather, she/he would say there is nothing that is not miraculous, including the realization of whom you are—a Co-Creator, equal in every way to the rest of Creation/God!

If you aren’t sure where you consciously reside, here are few pointers that may help you locate yourself on your mind/body/spirit journey. If you are a living testament of the following precepts, in other words, it has moved from head to heart knowledge, then your Consciousness has expanded beyond the third dimension and into the fifth.

1. In Unity Consciousness, there is only Oneness. You know there is no here or there, and there is nowhere to go. We all reside together up through the seventh dimension as carbon-based human beings. Beyond, we exist as crystalline-based beings. And we still all reside together as the ONE. You are everything Creation is—seen and unseen.

2. You live in the world but are not of it. You know that the third dimension is eternally dualistic in nature, therefore you no longer feel the need to change it or save anyone. Perfection exists even in the third dimension.

3. This includes your life. You have moved from attempting to fix your life to acceptance of your life and all that appears in it, for you know that unconditional love is the agent of change itself, you are the Alchemist. It is a state of Being, not doing.

4. You no longer work to preserve personal identity. Serving the self falls away for service to others. Your silent state of Being, as unconditional love, is the source of your power and the highest gift you can give others.

5. You no longer attempt to manifest your life. You witness manifestation throughout your day and see that it all is just happening. You allow life to flow through, as you. You recognize it as a symbiosis, a dance between partners, in service of your highest good.

If you are still trying to ward off negative energy, chant mantras and affirmations, find your twin flame, or repair your chi, this is representative of conditional love found in the third dimension—the dimension of “effort.” Don’t worry, we all did it and it was perfect!

Participating in these activities is a demonstration of your desire to transcend, and you will. One day, you will wake up and you will simply realize yourself to be what you have been seeking; the rituals no longer necessary.

You can’t make a mistake and never have. Take each day as it IS, allowing whatever shows up to BE.

And so it is.

In regards of the Greek God I will be posting insights shared with me from my Romani Familia throughout the morning so keep checking in.

According to some pagan calendars, May 14 is listed as the Birthday of Apollo. However, according to the mythology, Apollo was born on the seventh day of the month Thargelion. Wikipedia goes on to say that this was according to Delian tradition, and that according to Delphian tradition, it was the seventh day of the month of Bysios. The seventh and twentieth, the days of the new and full moon, were also held sacred to him.

If the exact date is important you you, I'd suggest you take a look at the Wikipedia article on the Attic Calendar which gives the names of the months and their approximate times in the year. For the purposes of simplicity, I would suggest that the 7th day following the New Moon in May (May 16 in 2013) would fit the criteria and make for a fine day to celebrate the birth of the God of Light Apollo.

Who is Apollo? Here's a brief profile:

Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto. His twin sister is Artemis. He is the god of music, playing a golden lyre. The Archer, far shooting with a silver bow. The god of healing who taught man medicine. The god of light. The god of truth, who can not speak a lie.

One of Apollo's more important daily tasks is to harness his chariot with four horses an drive the Sun across the sky. He is famous for his oracle at Delphi. People traveled to it from all over the Greek world to divine the future. His tree was the laurel. The crow his bird. The dolphin his animal.

Apollo is the Golden Boy of the Olympian pantheon, a spirit of healing, hunting, music, poetry, and prophecy. He radiates such dazzling charisma that he was eventually venerated as a solar deity. Although he never completely took over Helios' functions, Apollo overshadowed him.

To call someone an "Apollo" is to imply that they are blindingly handsome. He is a beautiful killer. Apollo is a master healer because he is a master of epidemic, plague, and disease, lifting and inflicting as he wishes. He attacked the Greeks with plague during the Trojan War. Apollo is blamed for sudden death. His arrows kill instantly.

The most familiar Olympian myth explains that Apollo was born on the isle of Delos, where his mother, Leto, one of Zeus' many conquests, was hiding from Hera, Zeus' jealous wife. However, Apollo is also described as coming from Hyperborea, a land to the north. Alternative myths suggest that Apollo and his mother arrived in Greece together in the form of wolves, or that Leto, in the form of a pregnant wolf, made the trek alone, giving birth to Apollo in Greece.

Hyperborea's location has never been identified, nor is it clear if it is even an actual physical destination or a spirit realm. One theory suggests that it is in the extreme north, near the Arctic Circle. Another suggests that Apollo comes from Rugen Island in the Baltic, first encountering the Greeks via amber trade routes. Alternatively, he is originally a Hittite spirit from Anatolia (Asia Minor), perhaps the underlying reason for his support of neighboring Troy.

Apollo is the Greek male deity with the greatest number of male lovers. In general, his relationships with men are happier than those with women. Apollo is the patron and sponsor of young men, teaching them music, divination, and various sports.

Apollo does not have an official "wife" or female consort. Although incredibly handsome, brilliant, rich, and royal (not to mention a god), most of the women he pursues flee from him, some committing suicide rather than submit to him. Others don't flee but meet fatally tragic ends anyway. What's going on?

On closer examination, the women Apollo pursues are rarely mere mortals. Although now trivialized as Nymphs or princesses, many were powerful goddesses. The big three of the Olympian pantheon - Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon - all "marry" female deities, thereby cementing their own right to power. Apollo's path to power, on the other hand is reminiscent of the character Sylar from the television series, Heroes. He absorbs and takes over the power of others. For example, having killed the serpent at Delphi, Apollo becomes able to manifest as a snake.

Apollo's veneration spread to Rome, where he was initially worshiped as a healing spirit: a Roman Temple was dedicated to Apollo Medicus in 433 BCE. Veneration of Apollo became widespread after Augustus Caesar claimed him as his personal patron. In return for Apollo's favor, Augustus built him a magnificent temple on the Palatine near his own palace. Apollo, who is the spirit with dominion over colonization, became the face of Western civilization and was praised as the calm, rational Lord of Reason (as opposed to his half brother, Dionysus).

The Romans carried Apollo with them through Gaul, identifying him with the many Celtic spirits associated with therapeutic baths and springs. Apollo assumed the identities of many, including Belenus and Grannus. He was married to local goddesses like Damona, Ianuaria, Rosmerta, and Sirona. In Celtic Gaul, Apollo is worshiped as a healer specializing in eye disorders. Apollo restores physical vision and bestows second sight.

Apollo protects his devotees and their cattle and livestock. He is loyal to those he loves. Apollo is a master healer who can heal anyone except those he himself has slain. He is the spirits' doctor too, helping them when they are ailing.

Favored people: Healers, musicians, psychics, diviners and mediums, good looking young men, philosophers, Leos, those who protect and care for wolves.

Manifestation: A breathtakingly handsome young man with long golden hair. He assumes the guise of his sacred creatures, traveling as a wolf on land and a dolphin at sea.

Iconography: Frequently depicted naked or near naked, Apollo is always envisioned as young and never with a beard like Zeus, Poseidon, or most other Greek male deities.

Attributes: Bow and arrows; lyre; the wreath of laurel leaves that he wears may be understood as Daphne's hair.

Sacred Places: Delphi; Delos; he had shrines in Anatolia (now modern Turkey) and Italy; Apollo is associated with various healing sanctuaries in Gaul, especially Burgundy.

Altar: Apollo's altar should be neat, clean, orderly, and not cluttered. He is a gregarious spirit: surround him with those he loves, especially his male lovers, Leto and Artemis; and add images of wolves, mice, and ravens.

Offerings: Wine, incense, gifts of solar imagery. Petition with intense 7 day vigils.

Sacred Days: The seventh day of each month is sacred to him; this is literally the seventh day of the solar calendar and also the waxing half moon of the lunar; Roman games held in Apollo's honor were celebrated from July 6 - 13.
