The Nature of the Soul

Your soul is your immortal inner being. It existed before time began and it will always exist, even when you merge back in your ultimate spiritual home as a conscious aspect of Infinite Being.
Out of the 12 levels or density layers of existence, we, in this physical realm, are in 3rd density. The soul is in 5th density, and Infinite Being is beyond the 12th. Your soul is your individualized spiritual presence, operating in 5th density and it maintains communication with the souls of everyone with whom you interact in daily life.
The soul world of 5th density is non-physical; our dense physical world is in 3rd density, while 4th density - the afterlife or spirit world - is quasi-physical. The term quasi-physical means that the spirit world is solid to its residents, even though they are etheric or ghost-like when compared to our dense physical structures. Spirits can, and do, bump into each other in the spirit realms because they are solid relative to each other.
Life in the spirit world is much like life in our dense physical world, except that there are certain freedoms that come with having a less dense body. The ability to levitate is one such freedom and, better still, spirits can project themselves almost instantly to another location and suddenly appear there. It just takes mental focus and - whoosh - they appear at the target location.
You don't see people wearing spectacles in the spirit world because their sense of sight works as a direct perception rather than through their eyes in the way that we use our eyes. They can focus telescopically on distant objects to make them appear near, and they can focus microscopically on a nearby object, right down to its atomic structure. Their sense of hearing, too, can be focused to pick up sounds at great distances.
When we in the physical world are able to replicate the principles behind 'astral projection', we, too, will have instant transportation to other locations. Then, it'll be bye-bye to cars, trucks, trains, planes and rocket ships.
5th density is the start of non-physical existence, so your soul is a non-physical sphere of consciousness. It has the freedom to relocate both in time and space but it spends most of its time catering to the needs of its physical, incarnate self.
In 5th density, when one soul meets another they recognize each other, not from any physical appearance, but from their unique signature vibration. Each soul emits a unique signature tone which is a form of mental energy that is perceived as a subtle sound.
Your soul is the recorder and cataloger of all of your experiences as you add your contribution to the vast array of human experience on earth. A major portion of your soul consciousness lives right here in 3rd density with you, tending to your every spiritual need. As your inner self, your soul knows you better than anyone else in the world does, and it's available for consultation 24/7. The limiting factor is how much your physical mind will allow and accept intuitive, soul-originated thoughts.
In order to live a life inspired by intuitive, inner wisdom you need only make a decision to do just that. Open up your awareness to the whisperings of your intuitive nature. Practice following your innermost hunches. Make a note of them so that you can look back later and see how accurate they have become.
Most of all don't be deterred if your hunches seem inaccurate during your early attempts. It happens that way to most people. Just keep practicing and very soon your hunches will start turning into a resource so valuable that you'll wonder what you did without it.

FROM RAVENS NEST Oct 28, 2015

What is the flow?
Flow is the mental state of operation in which a person in an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement and success in the process of activity.
In other words, flow can be described as the inherently positive state of being completely immersed or mindfully focused in an activity, simply for its own sake. When you are in a state of flow, time flies by, without effort or notice. Every one of your actions, emotions, movements and thoughts is highly energized and follows naturally from the previous one, like a beautiful score of music.
You are captivated by a feeling of absolute joy and full presence in the moment while focusing on the task at hand. Your ego dissipates when you’re in the flow and intuition guides your way.
Like the path of a meandering, rolling river of water, the state of flow is easy, nonresistant and completely natural. To be in a state of flow feels amazing. To be in a state of flow is to be in tune with who you truly are.
These precious moments are often referred to as "peak experiences" in which life suddenly seems alive with meaning, joy and wonder. The experience of such moments is your clue that you’re headed in the right direction and forging a deeper connection to your true self.
Flow experiences can occur in a variety of ways and will differ for everyone. You may experience flow while engaged in your favorite sport. Or you may experience flow while painting, singing or writing. You could also experience flow while working on an important project at work or on a meaningful hobby.
Think of a time when you’ve experienced the flow. Think of a time or activity in which you were completely focused, fully engaged and highly motivated. Remember the energy, excitement and ease that you felt.
What was different about your flow experience versus other experiences in your life?
As you begin to live more in tune with yourself, you will enjoy more and more experiences of flow.
In those moments, you’ll feel energized in a way you’ve never been before. You’ll feel excited and joyful. Your life will seem easy and while you may still face some challenges you’ll see them as part of the flow rather than obstacles in themselves.

Ascension Symptoms of Walking the Talk

When we started out on the spiritual path, most of us had a sense that an extraordinary spiritual transformation was possible -- a radical realignment at the deepest levels of our being that would not... only liberate us from personal suffering but would infuse our life with a sacred, cosmic sense of meaning, purpose and wholeness.
Yet after years or even decades of working on ourselves, many of us have begun to doubt whether that initial intuition of our higher potential was more fantasy than reality.
I want you to know that the highest possibility you've glimpsed, the most glorious potential you've sensed is not a figment of your imagination but a real living possibility. And even more than that is possible.
It is possible for life to make perfect sense. It's possible for YOUR life to make perfect sense.
It's possible to come into such profound alignment with the moral and spiritual axis of the universe that every moment of your life is a walk in grace, and that you know without any doubt that you are in the right place at the right time.
It's possible, in other words, for all existential doubt to disappear, and to live with unwavering conviction in the inherent goodness of the life process.
It's possible to awaken so deeply to the divine evolutionary impulse at the heart of existence that we know we are living our lives in service to the highest calling there is. And in this knowing, to discover an unimaginable and abiding liberation from the suffering of the confused, neurotic, separate sense of self.
It's possible to be truly free.
What I'm speaking about is a completely different kind of human life than most of us have ever encountered.
This is not simply about "being in the now" or "loving and accepting what is in every moment."
It is not about simply accessing a more expansive state of awareness or being able to stand back and abide as the "witness" of all that arises.
All of these are good experiences to have and important capacities to cultivate. But I'm speaking about something more.
I'm pointing to authentic spiritual awakening in which the ego has been radically overridden by the Ultimate principle, by the creative force of the cosmos, by what the Buddha called "the roar of the timeless beyond."
It's a life in which our endless quest for self-fulfillment has been replaced by a passion to give everything for the greatest good. In this ultimate submission to and alignment with the Absolute, the human being becomes a living, breathing force for higher evolution.
And this changes our relationship to being alive in unimaginable ways.
Experientially, we find ourselves in a state of profound receptivity and openness. A deep and abiding simplicity pervades our life, and an ongoing sense of flow permeates every moment.
We have let go of identification with the mind, abandoned any attachment to the self, enabling us to live as a transparent, vibrant vessel for the Infinite.
Amidst this profound openness, there is remarkable mental clarity at times, but there is no clinging on to that clarity. Insights come and go, but there is the knowledge that "I can't hold onto any of this," and so there is no grasping on to certainty.
But in moments when clarity is needed, it miraculously appears, integrating all of our knowledge and lived experience in a flash of intuitive knowing.
Spiritual experiences come and go, too, but there is no longer any clinging to ecstasy, bliss or love. We have discovered the source of all these things, and so feel no compulsion to cling to them.
More importantly, and contrary to popular belief, we awaken to a profound awareness of what we might call the heart of the cosmos. We feel, in a sense, for the Whole of Life. We feel the pain of the whole and the joy of the whole as our own pain and our own joy. We become a seeing, sensing, feeling organ of the whole.
And at the center of our being is a burning passion for evolution and transformation, a calling to transform the world into an expression of the divinity we have discovered.
All of this may sound very big and beyond reach, but I want to make it clear that this is not a pipe dream drawn from ancient books. This is what it's really like. This is really what's possible for a human life -- for your life -- to become.
Now, just because it's possible to awaken to this radically different kind of life does not mean that it's easy. Indeed, what I'm describing is without question the most challenging endeavor a human being can undertake.
We have to recognize that, even if we feel deeply that we want to surrender to the Divine, to be an agent of evolution, there is a big part of us that wants nothing to do with that. A part of us that desperately wants to maintain control, to keep our life small and manageable.
So, if we want our life to change that profoundly, we have to come to terms with what we're doing here. That means cultivating a clear and unwavering intention to bring our life into alignment with that which is greater than us.
Cultivating this kind of intention requires a 24/7 commitment, but you can begin this inquiry by engaging the following exercises on a daily basis. Any of these exercises can be engaged as a silent contemplation, as a journal exercise, or as a dialogue with a trusted spiritual friend.
1) Every morning, before you do anything else, take fifteen minutes and contemplate what you are really living for. Ask yourself: what is the most important thing in life? What is of ultimate significance? And what do I need to do to align with that -- to be an expression of that in the world? Don't simply ask these questions with your mind. Ask them with your whole being, as if your life depended on it.
2) Then, every evening, take another fifteen minutes, and again ask yourself: What is the most important thing in life? What is of ultimate significance? How did I live my day? Did I do everything I could to live in accord with the deepest truth I know? To align with a higher purpose? Where could I have given more?
3) Ask yourself: What would I need to give up or let go of to be able to align with the evolutionary impulse? To be a vessel for a greater intelligence and power in this world? What is in the way of me stepping into full surrender to and partnership with the creative force of the Cosmos? When will I be ready to leave that behind?
The spiritual path has always been about surrender. But the truth is that in this evolutionary awakening, this integral enlightenment, there is a further goal, which is the willingness to not only surrender to the divine principle, but to step up and take full responsibility for its manifestation and expression in the world.
In the end, we realize that the very power we've surrendered to is also our truest self, and that it needs us to fully embody that, to dare to be a creative agent of evolution, to align our own being with it so completely that we become the conscious choosing aspect of the Evolutionary Impulse itself.
In this radical realignment at the core of our being, we begin incarnating the divine and we give our every breath to making that divinity known and fully expressed in this world. In this unconditional stand, we discover our final liberation from the world, even as we give everything to transforming the world into an expression of the sacred. And when enough of us learn to live in this way, we will have Heaven on Earth.

FROM RAVEN'S NEST Sep 7, 2015

Still healing from my injury 2 months ago but here is your weekly Lunar heads up for the week my lovelies........

THIS WEEK UNDER THE MOON
For the week of Sept. 6 to Sept. 12

Sunday: the Moon is in Gemini
Visiting, either in person or via social media (including the telephone), is front & center. Moon in Gemini along with Mercury (communication) in Libra (another very social sign) and two other planets (Venus & Mars) in Leo will make this a weekend wonderfully devoted to interaction of some kind.

Monday, Tuesday: the Moon is in Cancer
This is the Moon's home base sign and consequently you might feel like being around your home more these two days as well. This sign also rules (is associated with) comfort foods, especially those that are creamy in nature, and you may feel like eating more of those foods right now. Examples include: ice cream, yogurt, pudding, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, etc.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday am: the Moon is in Leo
Because the sign Leo rules royalty, treat yourself as such when the Moon is in this location. Wear clothing in colors that are in your best-looks category, if you wear jewelry - gold is the metal connected to Leo, eat food that is fit for a monarch, etc.

Friday pm, Saturday: the Moon is in Virgo
Mercury, the planet that is linked with the sign Virgo, will be going retrograde (slowing down its revolutionary speed - see below**) later next week. Gathering, sorting, and organizing information comes under the heading of Virgo so it would be good to get a lot of that done before this retrograde period starts. Things can often become muddled or confused during this time.

Check your astrology chart to find which house (section of your chart) has the current Moon sign on the cusp (the beginning edge) & apply forecast information to that area of your life as well.
For example, the Moon is in Leo and one of the suggestions is to entertain - however Leo is located in the 12th house of your chart, which is an inward energy place...then have a small, quiet gathering. By contrast, if Leo is located in the 1st house of your chart, an outward energy place...have a party!

It is interesting to note when the current Moon is in the same sign as your birth Moon and to see how the flavor of that day carries through the following 30 days.

Current Planet Positions:
Sun - Virgo until Sept. 23
Mercury - Libra until Nov. 2
(**retrograde Sept. 17 - Oct. 9)
Venus - Leo until Oct. 9
Mars - Leo until Sept. 25
Jupiter - Virgo until Sept. 9, 2016
Saturn - Scorpio until Sept. 18
Uranus - Aries until Mar. 6, 2019
(Taurus - May 16, 2018-Nov. 7, 2018)
Neptune - Pisces until Mar. 30, 2025
Pluto - Capricorn until Nov. 20, 2024

Current Asteroid Positions:
Ceres - Capricorn until Oct. 28
Pallas - Sagittarius until Nov. 1
Juno - Virgo until Sept. 18
Vesta - Aries until Mar. 9, 2016
Chiron - Pisces until Apr. 22, 2018
(Chiron usually stays in one sign for about a little over two years, very similar to Saturn's travels. However this time it is making an extended visit to a sign.)

Current Asteroid Transits:
Ceres - Achievement and responsibility are prevalent.
Pallas - Expand your knowledge & skills with resources not considered before.
Juno - Examine what is on your to-do list that pertains to your personal care.
Vesta - Seek out activities that relate to your basic belief system.
Chiron - Transcend wounds and negativity through compassion.

Note: Timeframes for Moon signs, void-of-course periods, and current planet & asteroid positions are noted for Eastern time zone (USA). Please adjust according to your own location. Times are not given if the void-of-course Moon occurs for a very short period or if it occurs during the night (based on same Eastern time zone).

* v/c = Void-of-Course - When the Moon is void-of-course, spend time working on projects already in progress, creative endeavors, or self-improvement. Void-of-course simply means that no planets are aspecting the Moon as it gets ready to change signs; there won't be a configuration of astro energy available to utilize. It's best not to start new projects, sign important agreements, or go shopping when the Moon is void-of-course because the result will probably be unsatisfactory in some way.

A NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE will occur on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at 2:41 AM EDT.

A New Moon Solar Eclipse will occur in the sign of Virgo early into the day on Sunday, September 13th. Its effects can be felt up to six months after the actual date of the eclipse. In the sign of Virgo, work and health matters will be a major focus on a personal level. This eclipse is about new beginnings regarding work, attention to details, fitness, health regimes, and daily routines. This is a time when we should build our powers of healthy, constructive discrimination; learn to be more pro-active; start a new health and fitness routine; set up specific routines that will help us manage our lives in positive, mindful ways; and learn the "power of now" and of mindfulness. This is a time when we can learn to master the "little" details of our day-to-day lives in a more organized manner so that we can free our minds of clutter. For some of us, circumstances are such that we need to pay more attention to our work and health routines.

Flaws in an important system in our lives are revealed around the time of the eclipse, prompting us to redo or to start fresh. We may find ourselves completely re-working this area of life. Virgo rules awareness of the body, making full use of resources, attention to details, organization, self-preservation skills, order, and critical analysis. Virgo sees flaws in systems, whether those systems are our daily routines, the methods we work with on the job, or our bodies. Striving for perfection can be a wonderful challenge, as long as we don't allow ourselves to become overly focused on flaws and feel guilty or stressed about them. This is where Pisces, Virgo's opposing sign, comes in to help. Compassion, and finding beauty in imperfection, is our path to balancing this energy...Read more about this Solar Eclipse.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 20 degrees and 10 minutes of Virgo, affecting people born with personal planets and points at 15 to 25 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

This Week Under The Moon Aug 30

Still healing from my injury 2 months ago but here is your weekly Lunar heads up for the week my lovelies........

This Week Under The Moon
For the week of Aug. 30 to Sept. 5

Sunday: the Moon is in Pisces
Someone could, perhaps inadvertently, misrepresent or exaggerate a situation or opportunity. Check things out thoroughly before making any response or decision.

Monday, Tuesday: the Moon is in Aries
Mercury in Libra is across the astrological wheel from the Moon in Aries. Ask someone for assistance if required; even if it's not required, getting some objective insight or feedback will be very helpful.

Wednesday, Thursday: the Moon is in Taurus
Venus in Leo is square (challenging) the Moon, which could bring about a desire to spend money on something luxurious. Mars in Leo is also square the Moon, which could bring up a tendency for impulsive actions. An attitude of moderation will go far toward keeping things in balance.

Friday, Saturday: the Moon is in Gemini
Visiting, either in person or via social media (including the telephone), is front & center. Moon in Gemini along with Mercury (communication) in Libra (another very social sign) and two other planets (Venus & Mars) in Leo will make this a weekend wonderfully devoted to interaction of some kind.

** Mercury Retrograde - the speed of the planet slows down considerably. Communications, paperwork, electronics, traffic and mail can become very mixed-up, delayed, or go on the 'fritz' during this time. A situation will be in the process of changing, so wait until Mercury is direct to finalize anything. In general, maintain a slower, more cautious pace in daily affairs. Always allow at least two days before (to slow down) and after (to resume regular activities) a Mercury retrograde period.

FROM RAVEN'S NEST Aug 24, 2015

Eleven Laws To Reach The Higher You

As I tell my students Harness the Law~Harness the Power!
If we really want to grow inwardly, we must choose to go inward; only in the true Presence Moment can we realize the truth of ourselves that does, indeed, set us free. Such higher discoveries that set the stage for reclaiming your True Self call for higher learning. Think of each of the following eleven laws as individual magic strands of a flying carpet. Make it your aim to weave them together in your mind. Then watch how these lessons combine to effortlessly lift you into higher and higher levels of yourself.

The First Law
Nothing can stop you from starting over.

The greatest power you possess for succeeding in life is your understanding that life gives you a fresh start any moment you choose to start fresh. Nothing that stood in your way even a heartbeat before stands there now in the same way. It’s all new, even if you can’t as yet see it that way. You’ve only to test the truth of this fact about the newness of life to discover the incredible freedom that waits for you just behind it. And then nothing can stop you. You’ll know the real secret and the perfect power of starting over.

The Second Law
Don’t be afraid to see when something doesn’t work.

Learn to be sensitive and to listen to the inner signals that try and tell you when something isn’t working. You know what they are. Frustration and resentment to name just a few. The presence of these emotional troubles aren’t trying to tell you that you can’t succeed, only that the road you’ve insisted upon taking so far doesn’t lead where you want. Learning to admit when something isn’t working is the same as teaching yourself what will.

The Third Law
If it doesn’t flow, there’s more to know.

Learn to recognize all forms of strain-whether at work, in your creative efforts, or in your relationships – as being unnecessary. The friction you feel mounting when busy at some labor is never caused by the task at hand, but by what you don’t yet know about it. This means the only real reason for your strain is that you’ve got hold of a wrong idea you don’t yet see as wrong. This new insight allows you to release yourself by showing you what you need to know. Flowing follows your new knowing.

The Fourth Law
Don’t Take the Easy Way

There’s no getting away from what you don’t know, which is why any time you feel compelled to go around a problem by taking the easy way, that problem always comes round again. And isn’t that what makes life seem so hard? Learn to see the “easy way” as a lying thought that keeps you tied up and doing hard time. Getting something over is not the same as having it completed. And as this insight grows, so will your understanding that the whole idea of the “hard way” has always been just a lying thought as well. Now you know: the complete way is the easy way. So volunteer to make the “hard way” your way and learn the real easy way.

The Fifth Law
On the other side of the resistance is the flow.

There are often times when it feels as though you can’t go any farther in your work or studies. But you can learn to go beyond any blockage. Make the following clear to yourself. Those moments when it feels as though you’re least able to get beyond yourself are not telling you that you’ve gone as far as you can go, but only reveal that you’ve reached as far as you know for now. This higher self-knowledge about your true inner position allows you to see the resistance you’re feeling for what it really is: a threshold, and not a closed door. Walk through it. Nothing can stop you. On the other side of the resistance is the flow. Learning to go beyond you is the same as entering into the new.

The Sixth Law
Watch for the opportunity to learn something new.

Everything is changing all the time. That means life is an endless occasion for learning something new. But this means more than meets the eye. Just as you’re a part of everything, everything is a part of you. The whole of life is connected. And your ability to learn is part of the wonder of this complete, but ever-changing whole. Learning serves as a window, not only into the complex world you see around you, but through it you may also look into the “you” that’s busy looking into the world. And when you’ve learned there’s no end to what you can see about the amazing worlds spinning both around and within you, you’ll also know there’s no end to you. So stay awake. Learn something new every day. You’ll love how that makes you feel about yourself.

The Seventh Law
Learn to see conclusions as limitations

If you approach the possibilities of learning about your life as being limitless, which they are, then it follows that any conclusion you reach about yourself has to be an unseen limitation. Why? Because there’s always more to see. For instance, let yourself see that all conclusions are illusions when it comes to the security they promise. There may be security in a prison, but there are also no choices behind its confining walls. Learn to see all conclusions about yourself as invisible cells. For that’s what they are. The seeming security these conclusions offer are a poor substitute for the real security of knowing that who your really are is always free to be something higher.

The Eighth Law
Have no fear about being afraid

Fear can’t learn, which is why you must learn about fear if you ever wish to be a fearless learner. So, the first thing you must learn is how to get past your fear of being afraid. Here’s how. The next time a fear of some kind tries to fill one of your moments, try to see the difference between the fact of your situation and your feelings about it. This it the right use of your mind. For instance, it’s a fact that interest rates change. It’s not a fact you have to get scared when they do. That fear is not a fact of life, but only becomes one for you as long as you insist that life perform according to what you think are your best interests. As you learn to see that these fearful feelings don’t belong to you, but only to your wrong thinking, you cease to be afraid, even of your own fears.

The Ninth Law
Never accept defeat.

As long as it’s possible to learn, you need never feel tied down by any past defeat in your life. Here’s the real fact: nothing can prevent the inwardly self-educating man or woman from succeeding in life. And here’s why: wisdom always triumphs over adversity. But to win real wisdom calls you to join in a special kind of struggle. And if this battle had a banner under which to rally, here’s what would be written upon that higher call to arm: “But I can find out!” Yes, you can learn the facts. You may not understand how you could have been blind to that evil person’s real intentions, but you can find out. Take these four words that are freedoms battle cry. Use them to defeat what’s defeating you.

The Tenth Law
Learn to let go of painful pretense.

Most people approach their troubles with one of these two non-solutions: they either pretend their problem isn’t a problem, or they pretend they’ve solved their troubles with temporary cover-ups. But their pain remains. It doesn’t have to be this way for you. You can learn to let go of painful pretense. Here’s how. When facing an old problem, what you don’t want is another “new way” to deal with it. What you really want is to learn something new about the true nature of what has a hold on you. To go far, start near. When faced with any pain, let go of what you think you know. Act towards your trouble as if you don’t know anything about it. This new solution is the only true one because the truth is you don’t know what the real problem is. Otherwise you wouldn’t still have it. Letting go what you think you know puts you in the right place for learning what you need to know.

The Eleventh Law
Persistence always prevails.

If you’ll persist with your sincere wish for higher learning, you can’t help but succeed. Persistence always prevails because part of its power is to hold you in place until either the world lines up with your wish, or you see that your wish is out of line. But, for whichever way it turns in that moment, you’ve won something that only persistence can pay. See the following: if you get what you think you have to have to be happy and you’re still not satisfied, then you’ve learned what you don’t want. Now you can go on to higher things. And should you learn you’ve been wearing yourself out with useless wishes, then this discovery allows you to turn your energies in a new direction: self liberation.
