FROM RAVEN'S NEST Sep 7, 2015

Still healing from my injury 2 months ago but here is your weekly Lunar heads up for the week my lovelies........

THIS WEEK UNDER THE MOON
For the week of Sept. 6 to Sept. 12

Sunday: the Moon is in Gemini
Visiting, either in person or via social media (including the telephone), is front & center. Moon in Gemini along with Mercury (communication) in Libra (another very social sign) and two other planets (Venus & Mars) in Leo will make this a weekend wonderfully devoted to interaction of some kind.

Monday, Tuesday: the Moon is in Cancer
This is the Moon's home base sign and consequently you might feel like being around your home more these two days as well. This sign also rules (is associated with) comfort foods, especially those that are creamy in nature, and you may feel like eating more of those foods right now. Examples include: ice cream, yogurt, pudding, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, etc.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday am: the Moon is in Leo
Because the sign Leo rules royalty, treat yourself as such when the Moon is in this location. Wear clothing in colors that are in your best-looks category, if you wear jewelry - gold is the metal connected to Leo, eat food that is fit for a monarch, etc.

Friday pm, Saturday: the Moon is in Virgo
Mercury, the planet that is linked with the sign Virgo, will be going retrograde (slowing down its revolutionary speed - see below**) later next week. Gathering, sorting, and organizing information comes under the heading of Virgo so it would be good to get a lot of that done before this retrograde period starts. Things can often become muddled or confused during this time.

Check your astrology chart to find which house (section of your chart) has the current Moon sign on the cusp (the beginning edge) & apply forecast information to that area of your life as well.
For example, the Moon is in Leo and one of the suggestions is to entertain - however Leo is located in the 12th house of your chart, which is an inward energy place...then have a small, quiet gathering. By contrast, if Leo is located in the 1st house of your chart, an outward energy place...have a party!

It is interesting to note when the current Moon is in the same sign as your birth Moon and to see how the flavor of that day carries through the following 30 days.

Current Planet Positions:
Sun - Virgo until Sept. 23
Mercury - Libra until Nov. 2
(**retrograde Sept. 17 - Oct. 9)
Venus - Leo until Oct. 9
Mars - Leo until Sept. 25
Jupiter - Virgo until Sept. 9, 2016
Saturn - Scorpio until Sept. 18
Uranus - Aries until Mar. 6, 2019
(Taurus - May 16, 2018-Nov. 7, 2018)
Neptune - Pisces until Mar. 30, 2025
Pluto - Capricorn until Nov. 20, 2024

Current Asteroid Positions:
Ceres - Capricorn until Oct. 28
Pallas - Sagittarius until Nov. 1
Juno - Virgo until Sept. 18
Vesta - Aries until Mar. 9, 2016
Chiron - Pisces until Apr. 22, 2018
(Chiron usually stays in one sign for about a little over two years, very similar to Saturn's travels. However this time it is making an extended visit to a sign.)

Current Asteroid Transits:
Ceres - Achievement and responsibility are prevalent.
Pallas - Expand your knowledge & skills with resources not considered before.
Juno - Examine what is on your to-do list that pertains to your personal care.
Vesta - Seek out activities that relate to your basic belief system.
Chiron - Transcend wounds and negativity through compassion.

Note: Timeframes for Moon signs, void-of-course periods, and current planet & asteroid positions are noted for Eastern time zone (USA). Please adjust according to your own location. Times are not given if the void-of-course Moon occurs for a very short period or if it occurs during the night (based on same Eastern time zone).

* v/c = Void-of-Course - When the Moon is void-of-course, spend time working on projects already in progress, creative endeavors, or self-improvement. Void-of-course simply means that no planets are aspecting the Moon as it gets ready to change signs; there won't be a configuration of astro energy available to utilize. It's best not to start new projects, sign important agreements, or go shopping when the Moon is void-of-course because the result will probably be unsatisfactory in some way.

A NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE will occur on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at 2:41 AM EDT.

A New Moon Solar Eclipse will occur in the sign of Virgo early into the day on Sunday, September 13th. Its effects can be felt up to six months after the actual date of the eclipse. In the sign of Virgo, work and health matters will be a major focus on a personal level. This eclipse is about new beginnings regarding work, attention to details, fitness, health regimes, and daily routines. This is a time when we should build our powers of healthy, constructive discrimination; learn to be more pro-active; start a new health and fitness routine; set up specific routines that will help us manage our lives in positive, mindful ways; and learn the "power of now" and of mindfulness. This is a time when we can learn to master the "little" details of our day-to-day lives in a more organized manner so that we can free our minds of clutter. For some of us, circumstances are such that we need to pay more attention to our work and health routines.

Flaws in an important system in our lives are revealed around the time of the eclipse, prompting us to redo or to start fresh. We may find ourselves completely re-working this area of life. Virgo rules awareness of the body, making full use of resources, attention to details, organization, self-preservation skills, order, and critical analysis. Virgo sees flaws in systems, whether those systems are our daily routines, the methods we work with on the job, or our bodies. Striving for perfection can be a wonderful challenge, as long as we don't allow ourselves to become overly focused on flaws and feel guilty or stressed about them. This is where Pisces, Virgo's opposing sign, comes in to help. Compassion, and finding beauty in imperfection, is our path to balancing this energy...Read more about this Solar Eclipse.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 20 degrees and 10 minutes of Virgo, affecting people born with personal planets and points at 15 to 25 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

This Week Under The Moon Aug 30

Still healing from my injury 2 months ago but here is your weekly Lunar heads up for the week my lovelies........

This Week Under The Moon
For the week of Aug. 30 to Sept. 5

Sunday: the Moon is in Pisces
Someone could, perhaps inadvertently, misrepresent or exaggerate a situation or opportunity. Check things out thoroughly before making any response or decision.

Monday, Tuesday: the Moon is in Aries
Mercury in Libra is across the astrological wheel from the Moon in Aries. Ask someone for assistance if required; even if it's not required, getting some objective insight or feedback will be very helpful.

Wednesday, Thursday: the Moon is in Taurus
Venus in Leo is square (challenging) the Moon, which could bring about a desire to spend money on something luxurious. Mars in Leo is also square the Moon, which could bring up a tendency for impulsive actions. An attitude of moderation will go far toward keeping things in balance.

Friday, Saturday: the Moon is in Gemini
Visiting, either in person or via social media (including the telephone), is front & center. Moon in Gemini along with Mercury (communication) in Libra (another very social sign) and two other planets (Venus & Mars) in Leo will make this a weekend wonderfully devoted to interaction of some kind.

** Mercury Retrograde - the speed of the planet slows down considerably. Communications, paperwork, electronics, traffic and mail can become very mixed-up, delayed, or go on the 'fritz' during this time. A situation will be in the process of changing, so wait until Mercury is direct to finalize anything. In general, maintain a slower, more cautious pace in daily affairs. Always allow at least two days before (to slow down) and after (to resume regular activities) a Mercury retrograde period.

Eleven Laws To Reach The Higher You

As I tell my students Harness the Law~Harness the Power!
If we really want to grow inwardly, we must choose to go inward; only in the true Presence Moment can we realize the truth of ourselves that does, indeed, set us free. Such higher discoveries that set the stage for reclaiming your True Self call for higher learning. Think of each of the following eleven laws as individual magic strands of a flying carpet. Make it your aim to weave them together in your mind. Then watch how these lessons combine to effortlessly lift you into higher and higher levels of yourself.

The First Law
Nothing can stop you from starting over.

The greatest power you possess for succeeding in life is your understanding that life gives you a fresh start any moment you choose to start fresh. Nothing that stood in your way even a heartbeat before stands there now in the same way. It’s all new, even if you can’t as yet see it that way. You’ve only to test the truth of this fact about the newness of life to discover the incredible freedom that waits for you just behind it. And then nothing can stop you. You’ll know the real secret and the perfect power of starting over.

The Second Law
Don’t be afraid to see when something doesn’t work.

Learn to be sensitive and to listen to the inner signals that try and tell you when something isn’t working. You know what they are. Frustration and resentment to name just a few. The presence of these emotional troubles aren’t trying to tell you that you can’t succeed, only that the road you’ve insisted upon taking so far doesn’t lead where you want. Learning to admit when something isn’t working is the same as teaching yourself what will.

The Third Law
If it doesn’t flow, there’s more to know.

Learn to recognize all forms of strain-whether at work, in your creative efforts, or in your relationships – as being unnecessary. The friction you feel mounting when busy at some labor is never caused by the task at hand, but by what you don’t yet know about it. This means the only real reason for your strain is that you’ve got hold of a wrong idea you don’t yet see as wrong. This new insight allows you to release yourself by showing you what you need to know. Flowing follows your new knowing.

The Fourth Law
Don’t Take the Easy Way

There’s no getting away from what you don’t know, which is why any time you feel compelled to go around a problem by taking the easy way, that problem always comes round again. And isn’t that what makes life seem so hard? Learn to see the “easy way” as a lying thought that keeps you tied up and doing hard time. Getting something over is not the same as having it completed. And as this insight grows, so will your understanding that the whole idea of the “hard way” has always been just a lying thought as well. Now you know: the complete way is the easy way. So volunteer to make the “hard way” your way and learn the real easy way.

The Fifth Law
On the other side of the resistance is the flow.

There are often times when it feels as though you can’t go any farther in your work or studies. But you can learn to go beyond any blockage. Make the following clear to yourself. Those moments when it feels as though you’re least able to get beyond yourself are not telling you that you’ve gone as far as you can go, but only reveal that you’ve reached as far as you know for now. This higher self-knowledge about your true inner position allows you to see the resistance you’re feeling for what it really is: a threshold, and not a closed door. Walk through it. Nothing can stop you. On the other side of the resistance is the flow. Learning to go beyond you is the same as entering into the new.

The Sixth Law
Watch for the opportunity to learn something new.

Everything is changing all the time. That means life is an endless occasion for learning something new. But this means more than meets the eye. Just as you’re a part of everything, everything is a part of you. The whole of life is connected. And your ability to learn is part of the wonder of this complete, but ever-changing whole. Learning serves as a window, not only into the complex world you see around you, but through it you may also look into the “you” that’s busy looking into the world. And when you’ve learned there’s no end to what you can see about the amazing worlds spinning both around and within you, you’ll also know there’s no end to you. So stay awake. Learn something new every day. You’ll love how that makes you feel about yourself.

The Seventh Law
Learn to see conclusions as limitations

If you approach the possibilities of learning about your life as being limitless, which they are, then it follows that any conclusion you reach about yourself has to be an unseen limitation. Why? Because there’s always more to see. For instance, let yourself see that all conclusions are illusions when it comes to the security they promise. There may be security in a prison, but there are also no choices behind its confining walls. Learn to see all conclusions about yourself as invisible cells. For that’s what they are. The seeming security these conclusions offer are a poor substitute for the real security of knowing that who your really are is always free to be something higher.

The Eighth Law
Have no fear about being afraid

Fear can’t learn, which is why you must learn about fear if you ever wish to be a fearless learner. So, the first thing you must learn is how to get past your fear of being afraid. Here’s how. The next time a fear of some kind tries to fill one of your moments, try to see the difference between the fact of your situation and your feelings about it. This it the right use of your mind. For instance, it’s a fact that interest rates change. It’s not a fact you have to get scared when they do. That fear is not a fact of life, but only becomes one for you as long as you insist that life perform according to what you think are your best interests. As you learn to see that these fearful feelings don’t belong to you, but only to your wrong thinking, you cease to be afraid, even of your own fears.

The Ninth Law
Never accept defeat.

As long as it’s possible to learn, you need never feel tied down by any past defeat in your life. Here’s the real fact: nothing can prevent the inwardly self-educating man or woman from succeeding in life. And here’s why: wisdom always triumphs over adversity. But to win real wisdom calls you to join in a special kind of struggle. And if this battle had a banner under which to rally, here’s what would be written upon that higher call to arm: “But I can find out!” Yes, you can learn the facts. You may not understand how you could have been blind to that evil person’s real intentions, but you can find out. Take these four words that are freedoms battle cry. Use them to defeat what’s defeating you.

The Tenth Law
Learn to let go of painful pretense.

Most people approach their troubles with one of these two non-solutions: they either pretend their problem isn’t a problem, or they pretend they’ve solved their troubles with temporary cover-ups. But their pain remains. It doesn’t have to be this way for you. You can learn to let go of painful pretense. Here’s how. When facing an old problem, what you don’t want is another “new way” to deal with it. What you really want is to learn something new about the true nature of what has a hold on you. To go far, start near. When faced with any pain, let go of what you think you know. Act towards your trouble as if you don’t know anything about it. This new solution is the only true one because the truth is you don’t know what the real problem is. Otherwise you wouldn’t still have it. Letting go what you think you know puts you in the right place for learning what you need to know.

The Eleventh Law
Persistence always prevails.

If you’ll persist with your sincere wish for higher learning, you can’t help but succeed. Persistence always prevails because part of its power is to hold you in place until either the world lines up with your wish, or you see that your wish is out of line. But, for whichever way it turns in that moment, you’ve won something that only persistence can pay. See the following: if you get what you think you have to have to be happy and you’re still not satisfied, then you’ve learned what you don’t want. Now you can go on to higher things. And should you learn you’ve been wearing yourself out with useless wishes, then this discovery allows you to turn your energies in a new direction: self liberation.

GEMSTONES AND NUMEROLOGY
DR Raven Dolick MsD

This is worth knowing that you can wear certain gemstones in
order to amplify the powers of your own Life Path (the sum of
your birth date) or Expression number (the sum of your name
value.) You could have the stones set in a ring, a bracelet or
in a pendant.

What follows is a breakdown of numerology numbers for each Life
Path or Expression number, and the gemstones that you could wear to amplify the vibration of that gemstone.

Notice that some gemstones like the Bloodstone vibrate to more
than one number. Some like the Period vibrate to several numbers.

This is by no means a comprehensive list, but looks at the most
common stones that are used to be set in jewelry.

If you are a Life Path or Expression number -

One - Aquamarine, Beryl, Boji Stone, Copper, Cowrie, Lodestone,
Mica, Muscovite, Obsidian, Sapphire, Sandstone, Turquoise

Notice that the number one gemstones are very distinctive and
beautiful. Many are earthy such as the black obsidian and the
sandstone.

Two - Garnet, Gold, Meteorite, Moldavite, Shell, Smokey Quartz,
Spinel, Sugilite, Tanzanite, Tavorite, Tourmaline, Brown
Tourmaline

The signature 2 stone is the garnet which has always symbolized
love. The smokier colored stones symbolize emotional healing.

Three - Amber, Amethyst, Aventurine, Chrysoprase, Dolomite,
Herkimer Diamond, Lapis Lazuli, Morganite, Pyrite, Ruby, Pink
Sapphire, Sardonyx, Sugilite, Blue Topaz, Black Tourmaline,
Tsavorite

The stones for the number 3 tend to be quite flashy or
distinctive in some way much like the person who numerologically
fits the number.

Four - Ametrine, Bloodstone, Danburite, Emerald, Glass, Lead,
Mochi Balls, Moonstone, Pumice, Clear Quartz, Black Sapphire,
White Sapphire, Yellow Sapphire, Silver, Sodalite, Strombolite,
Tiger Eye, Black Tourmaline, Zircon

There are a lot of stones that vibrate to the number 4 and many
of them also vibrate to the feminine principle, as four is a
number of family and healing.

Five - Alexandrite, Carnelian, Heliodor , Peridot, Zincite

These five stones symbolize travel just like the number does, as
many of these materials were also used for money at one time or
another in different cultures.

Six - Apache Tear, Bloodstone, Carnelian, Cat's Eye, Citrine,
Glass, Jasper, Labrodorite, Marble, Mochi Balls, Moldavite,
Onyx, Peridot, Green Sapphire, Star Sapphire, Green Tourmaline

Six is a number that has a lot to do with health and fertility
and many of the stones that vibrate to this number promote the
health of the reproductive system (Carnelian and Mochi Balls) or
are prosperity stones (such as Peridot and Green Sapphire.)

Seven - Agate, Flourite, Iolite, Kunzite, Labrodorite, Pearl,
Peridot, Petalite, Platinum, Rhodolite, Rose Quartz, Sugilite,
Sulphur, Tin

Seven is the number of the genius and many of these stones have
chameleon-like qualities (such as labrodorite that flashes
different colors).

Eight - Calcite, Cinnabar, Coral, Dioptase, Ivory, Jet,
Marcasite, Mica, Opal, Selenite, Serpentine, Smokey Quartz

Eight is the number of prosperity and the stones symbolizing
this number vary from being very flashy (like opals and Mica) to
very grounding such as ivory or jet.

Nine - Boji Stone, Chalcedony, Chrysoberyl, Diopside, Feldspar,
Hematite, Malachite, Phenacite, Sandstone, Tektite, Yellow
Topaz, Blue Tourmaline, Brown Tourmaline, Pink Tourmaline, Zebra
Rock

This is a very spiritual number so meteorites like the tektite
and stones with an electromagnetic healing charge like Hematite
are part of its symbolic protection.

Eleven - Jade

Jade is a very wise stone so it is not surprising that it is one
of the stones of the number of the wounded healer or teacher.

Twenty Two - Watermelon Tourmaline

This number twenty-two is a master number and the pink color
symbolizes the ability to lead others.

Thirty-Three - Diamond, Yellow Tourmaline

Notice that the diamond is a stone of superiority in terms of
spirituality and so is the master number 33.

You could also wear subsets of your numbers. For instance if you
were born on the 26th, you could wear a gemstone that is an
eight (such as an opal) with a tourmaline (which is a two) and a
carnelian which is a six. So you can see how adding numerology
to your jewelry design can be a very interesting adventure when
it comes to choosing the stones that will best amplify your
energies to the rest of the world.
