Aphrodisiacs by Zodiac Sign

Effective edibles to spice up your sex life.

Ahhhh -- is there anything better than sex? There isn't much we wouldn't do in order to bed down the lover of our dreams. We lie, we cheat, and we wear hairpieces and shoot up Botox anything and everything we need to attract the lovers we desire. And in this day and age of social networking and match-up web sites, competition

is stiffer than ever.

So whether you're trying to heat things up with a new lover or you want to spend more time between the sheets with your long-term flame, how can you create the right atmosphere for mating? Turn your next meal for two into an opportunity to experience the effectiveness of sexually stimulating aphrodisiacs you can find

on the shelves of your local food store.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Although Aries' fast and furious manner can be sexy, brevity can lead to bedroom frustrations. It's really important for Aries to slow down the process and avoid reaching an early climax. Similarly, the "sheep-woman" might have come and "gone" before her partner even gets warmed up.

Fortunately, Aries will do anything on a dare, especially if it involves

chowing down on hot pepper. Cayenne could be nature's way of dilating Aries' blood vessels long enough to keep the passion going a little longer. In much the same way, honey can be applied to Aries' palette to soothe symptoms of sterility and banish impotence.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Noble Taurus is sensuous and caring, but because it's hard to get this person moving, sex comes about more slowly than most partners might like. To get Taurus to budge past the point of staring longingly into your eyes, pull out something that plays on the Bull's strength and penchant for sexual symbolism. Sprinkle nutmeg, the spice of strength and love magic, on to a portion of carrots or mashed sweet potatoes, and watch trace amounts of MDMA turn Taurus into an

unstoppable passion machine. Or, serve up some creamy, smooth avocado. This uniquely seeded fruit hangs in pairs as it grows on the vine, and is a rich visual reminder of Taurus' potential virility and sexuality.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

Distractible Gemini might not be thinking about sex at all times, and this sign's inherent duality can often lead to indecisive behavior. Your Gemini partner can appear to turn on and off at the drop of a hat -- or a click of the TV remote. Use cardamom to even things out. This aromatic spice cools down the hot and warms up the cold, confusing the hell out of Gemini, but definitely bringing attention to getting down to the business of sex. If the exotic curry doesn't go down too well, try popping a vanilla bean into Gemini's coffee or champagne -- the scent of lust could incite this elusive lover to develop a hornier,

healthier one-track mind.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

The mother of all signs can be the kind of person that really believes sex is just for creating children, or so it might seem. It isn't easy to ply Cancers with food, as it's hard to get them to give up control over the kitchen. Don't worry, there are many routes into this gastronome's heart, and at least one of them begins in Cancer's sweet tooth. Remembering that this sentimental soul has a soft spot for all things that evoke childhood days, take a trip to your local penny candy dealer. Black licorice will wake up Cancer's sexuality by acting on the adrenals and bringing those hormone levels up to a point that will turn on Cancer's trance-like dance of orgasmic passion.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

Most people want to know what will turn Leo off, but if you're in a long-term relationship with this proud individual, there will be times when you'll need to bring back that old spark. Attracted to all things that remind them of the brilliant Sun that rules their sign, Leo people will become sexually aroused when fed yellow foods. Saffron, that flowery flavor found in Spanish paella and Italian risotto, can improve the feminine sex drive. Bananas, meanwhile, will bring most Leo men's members to attention, and remind them of the importance of

performing up to the standards of virility that the Leo legend is based upon.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)

Shy and retiring Virgo people can be pretty sexy, but not before they go through rituals that might make you think they're breaking a monk's or nun's vow.

Surprisingly well-versed in technique and proficient in positions from

missionary to the dirty Sanchez, Virgo can come alive rather quickly -- and often challenge partners to keep up with a vast store of sexual knowledge. Are you ready to be schooled? Feed your Virgo chocolate. One of the most obvious of the aphrodisiacs, cocoa lowers inhibitions and increases Virgo's desire to touch and be touched.

Even if you fail to make that first orgasm completely perfect, Virgo will

always encourage you to keep practicing.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)

Librans are all about the romance, and most will already bring along sexy lingerie, candlelight and flowers, whether real or virtual, to every date. Yet, this sign's indecisive nature can interfere with the business of getting to the good stuff of rubbing up against you. Libra often will need to be "warmed up" and enticed to stray from all else that looks beautiful, sounds harmonious or smells nice. Start by feeding your little darling garlic, which is definitely something that's better when shared together. When paired with ginger, this domineering aromatic flavor will break down Libra's aesthetically correct barriers and activate this sign's more libidinous impulses.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)

That jazzy, rhythmic "come to me baby" music that instantly inspires the old bump 'n' grind is totally Scorpio's theme song. Most don't need much more than a glance in their direction as a cue to start acting out the sexual scenarios that run through their heads. In the rare event you come across a less pornographically-inclined Scorpio, it won't take much to change things. Wake up the bottom half of the body by introducing truffles or Portobello mushrooms to the top half. Scorpio is likely to drop eating utensils mid-meal, throw you on the table and demonstrate transformative acts of sex usually reserved for

verboten corners of the World Wide Web.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

This not-so-subtle individual can be totally clueless when it comes to getting the hint, so don't be stingy whilst exercising the art of culinary sexual suggestion. A tray of oysters, arranged in a circle that's seemingly pleading to be penetrated, will get most Sagittarius men aroused enough to prove they don't need aphrodisiacs for anything. In the case of the female Centaur, her adventurous nature will easily extend to matters of sexuality, but you have to get her to stop talking about her latest trip to Trinidad and Tobago first.

Ample servings of asparagus spears, pointedly suggesting your desire to open up the appropriate orifices, should do the trick.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

To this closeted-but-raunchy person, the mere suggestion that aphrodisiacs would be needed to initiate the sex act is laughable. If you want to impress the irrepressible Goat, you've got to be resourceful. Don't even try hiding your intention to lubricate the libido with food. Creating a challenge will get Capricorn's respect and cooperation much more quickly. This is the person for whom dancing with death equates with sexual arousal, because both things ask Capricorn to merge the need for individual achievement into the infinite sense of belonging. Rather than messing with marjoram or hot mustard, dare Capricorn to prove imperviousness and ingest the non-poisonous parts of the infamous Japanese puffer fish.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

Every Aquarius lives in his or her head, where the world of love and sex is merely an arena for conquests by the "cool." It's never easy to get Aquarians to do what you want them to do -- it takes a lot to even get them close enough for a wet and sloppy kiss. Here's where some sexy foods can help you out. Cook with ginseng to increase the desire for physical contact of the up close and personal kind. Or, ply the Aquarian female with almond-flavored treats that are famous for softening the feminine resistance to sexual intrusion and raising

carnal desire to a level beyond what you might call "Cold Fish."

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

This is the sign that will instantly fall under the spell of most mind-altering substances, so it isn't too tough to get them swimming in more intimate directions.

Alcohol, the never-fail elixir when it comes to lowering human inhibitions, is the easiest way to get Pisces to remember how good it can feel to live in the body long enough to have sex. A little liquid courage can also increase confidence, so Pisces won't be worrying about whether he or she is "good enough" to mate with you at any given time. Once the juices start to flow you'll certainly thank the genius who first fermented the fruit of the vine.

Affliction, Trials, and Discipline
Enduring Affliction, Trials, and Discipline

Trials -
Life now a days is difficult. It actually is designed to be by all the controlling forces wanting world population to feel they need them.
Every day each of us must rise and work to carve out a life for ourselves. Though difficult, life is often good. This is especially true when we are surrounded by friends and family. These moments are to be savored because no matter what our position in life, each of us will sooner or later face great sorrow and adversity.
It could be the death of a loved one, the loss of a job or home, or some other disaster.  In these times, it’s easy to think we are being punished, or that for some reason the universe is conspiring against us. It’s important to remember that not all hardship is punishment.
God/dess unity when balanced and invoked often sends affliction and trials to purify and strengthen our faith for glory:
Though as stated in the Bible for reference purposes....
“In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith- of greater worth than gold which perishes even though refined by fire- may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed” (Peter 1:6-7). At times God will test us with affliction, trials, and discipline so that our faith may be purified.
Affliction
And again for reference only I use the words transcribed in the Bible......
“In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil” (Job 1:1). Job was a righteous man, and the Lord allowed Satan to strike him with grief and affliction in order to demonstrate Job’s great faith. He lost all his possessions, his entire family died, and his body was stricken with painful boils.
Despite this, Job did not give up his faith. His wife even tried to convince him to curse God but he would not. Rather, he declared: “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised” (Job 1:21). The Holy Spirit indeed must have been with Job, where else could he have gotten the strength to endure Satan’s assault? Once it became clear that Job’s faith was stronger than any trial that Satan could muster, God declared that Job had passed the test. He commanded Satan to withdraw, restored Job’s health, and rewarded him with greater riches and family than he had before.
God/dess unity in righteousness is shown in his treatment of Job. Even though God, only highlighted in Job writings here allowed this so called Satan to take everything from Job, He later rewarded Job greatly for his perseverance. Now, even today the story of Job is an example of how the Lord will never abandon his children. In this life, the Lord will give and the Lord will take away. If like Job we stay faithful no matter what, we will be greatly rewarded in the next life.
Trials
Christianity is centered around Jesus Christ and by theory in their misleading, who was without sin. Jesus encountered many trials and temptations during his life, and any who have faith in him must also expect to endure trials and tribulations because of that faith. Jesus knew this, which is why he said to his disciples, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also” (John 15.18-20).
So again the bible as a story book it was intended to be is stories of fragmented truths and referenced here so again......
God/dess unity invoked blesses those who persevere under trials; we know this because He/She together in perfect consort has revealed it to us in their poorly  rendered word: “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him” (James 1:12).
The Lord and Lady never breaks universal promises based on universal design, and this should give us strength during the rough patches of this life. Still, sometimes it seems that the opposition is overwhelming.
In these dark times we may feel like David when he wrote Psalm 13: 1-2: “How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?”
We should turn to the Lord/Lady consort  for answers to these questions. God will never give us more trials and temptations than we can handle. Paul tells us this in 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
Discipline
No one is a stranger to pain, grief, and suffering. The only difference between us is our attitude. The true Christian life that is so illusive to society follows the narrow path, which is not easy or carefree. The narrow path includes suffering, suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope (Romans 5:3). Therefore we know we are on the narrow path when we endure suffering, trials, and discipline.
Discipline and chastisement are never easy to accept, but are necessary in the narrow path they preserve and again in reference to story only we can see this in an objectionable study in the bible.  (Hebrews 12:11).
Often this is a barrier for those newly introduced to Christianity because no one likes to hear that they are sinful and need a savior but I ask again to disconnect religions propaganda here and focus on a story that also interprets God/dess unity.
However, the ability to accept criticism and discipline is a mark of maturity, humility, and wisdom. Hebrews 12: 5-6 says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
And a serious practitioner as in our Lycan Society of warrior duty does except that as Lord rule.
Similarly, parents who truly love their children will discipline them. Without discipline, children become spoiled, indignant, and disrespectful. Unless corrected they will grow up to be spoiled, indignant and disrespectful adults, and then the cycle continues. It is the same for us with their heavenly father only unbalance to this dilemma. When we are rebuked, it is a sign that God/dess loves us.
Dare to ask anyone in the WAY if they see it any different.
We are not alone in the wilderness of this world. The Lord and Lady consort has given us reassurance and hope through universal wisdom if you harness it, word!
If you are suffering, lean on your brothers and sisters, and look to the Universal wisdom in all things without judgment for encouragement from above:
•The Lord will give, and he will also take away. (Job 1:21)
•Trials come in order to test and preserve our faith. (1 Peter 1:6-7)
•Trials will come because Jesus was first tried before us. (John 15:18-20)
•Those who endure trials for His sake are blessed. (James 1:12)
•God won’t allow us to suffer beyond our capability to bear. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
•God disciplines his children because he loves them. (Hebrews 12:5-6)
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” -James 1:2-3
Awomen to that my Lycan Kith!

A Sun Sign's Orientation to Change

A Sun Sign's Orientation to Change
Dr Raven Dolick Aug 23, 2014
All rights reserved

Change is inevitable my dear ones. And if you haven't peeked out your front window lately it is everywhere and unfortunately the ones out there continuing ...to choose to struggle are the ones that haven't found in themselves the self empowering of embracing the Change!
By an astrological stand point here is a little more nudging from me to just jump in and know "the water is fine".

Okay, for the sake of an open mind, try to forget everything you've ever thought about change. Accept one thing: it really does have a purpose, which is to get us to grow. Not just to upset our carefully laid plans or make us feel like we are perpetually living on a skateboard. The bottom line is change is inevitable. It's gift is to get you to step outside what you know and push yourself to new experiences, provided you want to do more than just get through the curve ball the Universe has just thrown at you.
Now, you belong to one of twelve Sun signs, and each one of you approaches change differently. Some view it as opportunity, others view it as trouble, still others try to avoid it. Of course, I won't name names. That would be unfair.
For each of the twelve Sun signs, change is meant to get them out of the rut that is built into their temperament. Trust me, every Sun sign has inner attitudes and beliefs they like to hang onto that leave them less able to express the best parts of themselves. So let's take a look at each Sun sign's attitude toward change, how that can inhibit their growth and, finally, the key to maximizing the best qualities of what it is to be everything from an Aries to a Pisces.

Aries
Okay, so your definition of change means activity—movement. But constantly running in circles, no matter how large they are, doesn't really alter anything. Activity might make you feel good in the moment, but when you come to a halt everything is pretty much where you left it. What you need is a goal that motivates you to extend yourself, to challenge yourself; and that, in turn, forces you to trust your instincts in the pursuit of growth. And those instincts are your greatest asset. You have a built-in capacity for taking the right risk at the right time. It's what leadership is really all about—forging into unknown territory and trusting completely in yourself. Stop worrying about whether you'll have to abandon your latest impulse. Look past the temporary exhilaration it gives you and take action that will lead to something that will profoundly move your life. The truth is you want to be like Neil Armstrong and not the guy who took a bungee jump. Summon all that inner fearlessness and show the world the path to real change. For Aries, the key to using change to create growth is purpose.

Taurus
Now stop pretending you're hard of hearing, or that you can't spell. I know the word change strikes fear into your heart. Why? Because your assumption is that change will destroy everything you've worked so hard to build. It's upheaval, pure and simple. And no self-respecting Taurus is going to put out the welcome mat for that. But, hang on a minute. Change really isn't any different than winnowing out the plants in a garden that aren't flourishing. It gives everything else better chance to grow, to thrive. And the truth is you really love to grow things. Just remember to grow yourself as lovingly as you do everything else and you won't find change such a difficult thing to embrace or act on. In fact, you might even find yourself saying "bring it on." Okay, maybe that's pushing it. But change offers you the opportunity to finally realize that you are the rock on which you can build your life, that you are your own security and nothing can change that, only you. For Taurus, the key to using change to create growth is elimination.

Gemini
You really don't stop to think much about change. You're too busy gallivanting around, bouncing from thing to thing, drinking in all that marvelous experience. However, curiosity is not a substitute for change. The one thing you have going for you is that you really are built for change. You just don't always know it. So use that considerable talent for mental expansion (for more than playing Trivial Pursuit® or being mesmerized by the latest gadget) to get your motor running. In truth, it's not that difficult to get your attention. The challenge for you is to assess what's being offered and then to ask yourself whether it will help you grow or if it's just another dose of mental candy. There's so much personal growth to be mined from your experiences. Take time to put them in perspective. Get past the initial that-was-interesting response and find a context for what you've done. It will lead to a deeper awareness and a deeper satisfaction, both with life and with yourself. For Gemini, the key to using change to create growth is reflection.

Cancer
I know you want to barricade the doors and windows of your psyche whenever change comes a-knocking. It disturbs your inner equilibrium. Why? Because change means loss to you, and that leads to an emotional earthquake that leaves you broken. But take this into consideration. You love to nurture people, projects, and all kinds of stuff. And opening up to change can allow you to do more of that, not less. How? you might wonder. By letting go. By clearing all the emotional deadwood out of your life so you can nurture (another word for grow) in a deeper, more satisfying way. Letting go leads, dare I say it, to happiness as opposed to familiarity. And you know how you love to cling to old patterns and old experiences. You make the mistake of believing they are what's meaningful in your life when, often, they are just burdens, pure and simple. Clinging to the familiar isn't any different than rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Things might look different, but the ship is still going down. For Cancer, the key to using change to create growth is release.

Leo
Your mantra? If it ain't broke, why fix it? You might be heard to mutter, "What do I need to change?" Well, no one is asking you to change your essential wonderfulness, but you might need to recognize that potential isn't the same as manifestation. The acorn is not the oak. Take a look at the fact that not everything you say and do springs from the best part of you. You have your less-than-stellar moments just like everyone else. Your challenge is you ignore them. Just like you ignore anything that doesn't support your view of the world. It's all good, right? Why? Because I am good. In fact, I am great. The need to maintain that belief at all costs leaves you at a disadvantage when change comes, because, of course, it will come. You will fight it because you believe it is telling you that something is fundamentally wrong with you. Not so. The things you use to resist change—integrity and honor, loyalty and steadfastness—are the very things that will help you grow your life. You will become the oak. For Leo, the key to using change to create growth is humility.

Virgo
For you, change equals improvement. And in your world that's always a good thing. Why else would you change something if it wasn't going to lead to something better? However, you always get side-tracked by two things. One, you're never quite certain you're going to make the right decision, so your commitment to change can get high-centered while you analyze, analyze, analyze. It's hard for you to accept that you cannot anticipate everything. The need for perfection meets the reality that the outcome can never really be predicted. At best, every decision is a really good guess. Second, change isn't always tidy or straightforward. It can be equal parts messy and confusing. And that just drives you crazy. You hyperventilate and become hypervigilant. Every little thing that happens has to be a sign of success or failure. You're never sure which. This makes it hard to grow because the growth of a human is not something easily measured or quantified. The solution? Relax. Embrace your capacity to make the best of any situation. It's what helps you grow away from criticism toward healthy self-respect. For Virgo, the key to using change to create growth is adaptability.

Libra
In your world, change is just another word for compromise, or is that accommodate, or maybe it's appease. Now, there's a trifecta and one that's certain to please everyone but you. That's okay as long as the boat doesn't get rocked and you don't have to deal with things head-on. You're always afraid that the purpose of change is to shine a light on something in your life that's not very pretty. And that's probably true. Still, you're not having any of that. So, you continue to gloss things over or you look for the tiniest of positive things to reassure you that everything is okay. And, when things keep on cracking or collapsing or becoming downright painful, you wonder why you're being picked on. However, always being nice can make you brittle. The winds of change really want to free you from this self-imposed exile and grow you into the idea that subservience does not make for harmony or balance. Take all those things you've learned about making others happy and plunk yourself in the middle. Make you the focus of your grace. See how good it feels. For Libra, the key to using change to create growth is self-awareness.

Scorpio
Yeah, you love change. In fact, you'll tell anybody who'll listen that you're not afraid of it. As long as it doesn't expose you too much. But that's the trouble with change; it tends to blow things wide open, mangling both your carefully constructed outer cynicism and all that camouflage you invest so much emotional energy in. After all, you have the do-not-disturb sign on your emotional cave 90 percent of the time. So, let's get real. You often need to hit full-blown crisis before you'll push yourself to get in the game and use your mighty transformative powers to grow past that pantheon of fears that are buried deep within you. Open up a little, let down your guard and cancel your security system. It's not really protecting you after all. It's just keeping you from discovering your deeper desires and living your passion. Trust that infamous Scorpionic radar to tell you what's really going on, and instead of deciding not to play anymore, change the rules of the game. Get rid of the crap; give yourself permission to live life wholeheartedly. For Scorpio, the key to using change to create growth is purification.

Sagittarius
You think your middle name is change, largely because you hate to be pinned down. You always keep all your options open and that leads you to believe that you love change. But, you carry around one hefty condition that keeps you from experiencing full-on enthusiasm that you are so famous for: Change is good as long as it doesn't lead to any kind of burden. That leaves you prone to passing up things that will truly benefit you because you mistake substance for inhibition. So all those lovely little adventures you are so fond of don't add the meaning to your life that you seek, because meaning only comes from investing something of yourself in the things you value. And no, this isn't a trick question. Or answer. It might seem like a double-edged sword, though. The challenge is to know that embracing what is meaningful to you truly does give you more freedom and that's what you need to grow. Forget running away, because it ultimately leaves you with nothing. And that is your biggest fear—that life is about nothing at all. So, pick a destination. For Sagittarius, the key to using change to create growth is discernment.

Capricorn
If there's one thing in life that haunts you, it's change. You know what I am talking about. The kind that threatens the feeling that everything can be controlled. After all, if you don't believe that, then how can you achieve the goals you've set for yourself? Not for you are the zigs or zags of life. Just straight lines please—the ones that take you from point A to point B with no diversions in between. What you fail to comprehend is that going off the beaten path can actually create a better end result than sticking to the script. However, that means you'd have to see change as something other than random, and that's hard for you. Try taking a deep breath. Step away from the "Über plan." Take your absolutely fabulous gift for sizing things up and plotting the right strategy, figure out what the unexpected is trying to show you and incorporate that into your overall approach. You'll grow more appreciation for your own skills and make good things happen. That's bound to be a whole lot more productive than moaning about the upside-down apple cart. For Capricorn, the key to using change to create growth is flexibility.

Aquarius
You believe change is necessary. In fact, you think you invented it. Heaven forbid that anything should ever be stagnant! But shaking things up for the sake of shaking them up doesn't always create change. Knocking down a wall isn't that productive unless you have something with which to replace it. Otherwise it's a lot like looking at Humpty Dumpty after his great fall. So let go of chaos and turmoil. Use what's been shoved in your face to get beyond the need to resist. Admit it. You resist anything that isn't your idea. And that includes change. No matter how much you embrace the idea, when change barges in you're still taken by surprise. You knew it was coming, but hey, not like this. You bluster and complain until you morph the whole thing into something you planned to do anyway. Well, make life easier. Welcome things without resistance. Ignore the messenger and pay attention to the message instead. Use your vaunted objectivity and your capacity to see outside the box to grow things, not just tear them apart. That way, people might actually listen to what you have to say. For Aquarius, the key to using change to create growth is acceptance.

Pisces
You are definitely the most fluid person on the planet. You change realities with ease and grace, often moment to moment. However, what you don't see is that dabbling in many dimensions can leave you out of the loop in this earthly one. And on Earth is where you live. So when the call for change comes, don't fly off to another part of the universe. Life ultimately may be transitory, but you still have to live it. And that means being fully engaged, not dropping in and out like a flower child. To grow, you need to be present. All that visionary capacity that you have will go to waste if you don't take time to focus. A dream is just a fantasy unless you do something about it. Put your considerable visualizing capacity to work. Use your magic to create growth. Sit down with your feet firmly planted on the ground and create the necessary framework to get the job done. After all, you can see it, can't you? For Pisces, the key to using change to create growth is grounding.

Free Divination Course Dec 25

The Art of Divination and Its Tools

Crystal Ball Gazing

What if you literally saw God, Goddess, an angel, or a fairy with your own two eyes? If this happened to you in a dream, in church, within the confines of a magical circle, such incredible visions would be appropriate. If, however, this happened while you were driving to work and you swerved off the road to avoid a pixie or Gabriel’s horn, you would likely rightfully find yourself in the psychiatric ward of your local hospital. Everything in between is a big old gray area, and not one that feels comfortable to explore.

For that reason, as a professional fortune teller, I have many friends and clients who gush excitedly that they love fortune tellers, scrying, and divination, but that they could never do it themselves. How could this be that I’ve heard people who are obviously intuitive and open-minded about psychic arts tell me that they feel and see nothing when they attempt to do the work themselves? This is especially strange considering that such people have more access to step-by-step instructions like those in books.

It isn't that visions can’t be seen by everyone. People who say that they can’t see things when they try often either don’t know what to look for, or simply don’t actually want to see anything supernatural with their own eyes. After all, who hasn’t had the experience of catching spooky shadows out of the corners of their eyes and wishing for a bright light to chase them away? Inviting a hallucinatory encounter may seem like a step toward madness. Many wannabe psychics ask themselves: How will I know I’m not crazy?

Fear of "becoming crazy" or of not being able to see anything at all are the reasons why I recommend crystal ball reading as an incredibly valuable and versatile practice. Firstly, having a tool in which you can see whatever "crazy" things that you want, without spooky visions bleeding out into your mundane life, allows the beginning reader and budding psychic a chance to relax and allow whatever amazing revelations there are within the crystal ball to come forth. When the visions seem frightening or overwhelming, the crystal ball can simply be set aside for a time when the reader feels more ready. Some people really do see images inside the crystal ball as clear as in a television set. Others only see the visions on the inside of their eyelids, in the mind’s eye, and that’s okay too.

The second amazing virtue of the crystal ball is to provide inspiration to those people who really don’t believe that they would be able to see any visions at all. To see why this is true, you may need to see a real quartz crystal ball in person. It isn’t just a translucent sphere, like a marble of glass. Each real quartz crystal ball is blessed with countless tiny imperfections throughout. On the clear backdrop of the crystal’s surface and interior, you’ll see white wisps frozen forever in time within the crystal ball. When the crystal ball is turned in the light, those small imperfections may appear to be different colors along the light spectrum, and will be all different shapes depending on how you turn the crystal ball. In fact, it may seem quite impossible to see one of those imperfections the same way twice. This property is exactly how you can be inspired to see things in the crystal ball.

Even those who don’t boast of great creativity can literally see shapes in clouds. If you can lie on your back in the grass and see clear shapes in the clouds almost as if somebody had sculpted them to look like a rabbit, a car, or what have you, then you can also see visions in the crystal ball. The tiny white and rainbow shining imperfections in a crystal ball speak to your intuition in the same way that clouds speak to your imagination. The shapes you see may tell a story, or have personal meaning to you. Or, you can use a book like Crystal Ball Reading for Beginners to help you know what you should be seeing and paying attention to and understand how to interpret your perceptions into full crystal ball readings.

The crystal ball exercises the part of you that sees your intuition expressed in a visual form, while keeping a safe boundary between your psychic practice and your everyday life. For that reason, I find it to be a more valuable tool for the budding fortune teller than other forms of divination (such as tarot cards) or more difficult scrying tools such as a mirror or a bowl of water, which may not already have inspiring shapes swirling around in them. As you practice, you may find that the actual tiny flecks that inspire you to see shapes in the crystal ball allow you to see other fleeting visions within the crystal ball itself that are more akin to real visions right before your eyes. Seeing things in the crystal ball is possible for anyone when you know what to look for.

If you’re still too worried to pick up the crystal ball, knowing that you can put it down when you no longer want to see things, then you can take comfort that seeing intangible things does not make you "crazy." In fact, the American Psychiatric Association requires that other problems besides hallucinations or delusions be present before a person can be diagnosed with a mental illness. For example, you must have a severely dysfunctional life, such as not being able to work, have a relationship, or care for yourself in order to be diagnosed with something like psychosis. In addition, to be diagnosed with something like schizophrenia, your hallucinations would have to be happening all the time for a period of six months, not just whenever you looked inside your crystal ball.

So, stop being afraid of seeing things! You won’t go crazy. Whether you’re someone who has already tried to have visions until your eyes hurt or you’re somebody who would scream if they saw a ghost, go pick up a crystal ball and push your boundaries. You’ll find out what makes visions so useful and appealing, and why the ancient art of crystal ball reading has persisted to the present day.

Exploring the Subconscious with Pendulum Dowsing

Know thyself. That good advice goes back all the way to the days of Plato and Socrates, and the ancient Greek inscription at the Temple of Delphi. But sometimes, knowing yourself is a lot harder than it should be, especially if you are out of touch with what is going on at the subconscious level.

Even though our conscious, rational mind determines what choices we make in life, the hidden part of ourselves, our subconscious mind, is equally important. If these two halves of your mind are out of sync, you may find that everything becomes more difficult. Illnesses, accidents, anxieties, and fears are some ways the subconscious tries to get our attention. If your subconscious doesn’t agree with what you’d like to do, making changes becomes nearly impossible.

Dowsing is the perfect tool to talk to the subconscious mind and find out what’s going on beneath the surface. In many ways, it’s like the old-timer walking a field with a forked stick, trying to find water. In this case, you will use a pendulum to explore the subconscious and try to strike those deep veins of truth that are flowing beneath.

A pendulum can be anything that can dangle in a balanced way on a chain or string. Hold your pendulum in your dominant hand and tell yourself, “Show me a yes.” You are programming yourself to recognize a positive answer. My yes response is a clockwise circle, but yours may move counter clockwise or back and forth. Once you’ve established your yes, ask for a no. It may take some time to get your pendulum moving with just your thoughts, but you’ll eventually find that it gets easier with practice. For more help in learning to dowse, see my book, Intuition in an Instant.

Once you become comfortable with dowsing, you will have a valuable tool to help you explore your hidden motivations, much like a therapist might in a counseling session. You will want to get in the habit of talking to your subconscious on a regular basis. To do so, take a few moments to center yourself. Close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths. Once you are in a relaxed state, hold your pendulum and ask if you can connect with your subconscious mind. Then ask yourself for the name of your subconscious. This will help you access your subconscious more easily. Once you have a name, use your pendulum to confirm that this is what your subconscious wants to be called. In general, you may find it best to talk to your subconscious as if you were talking to a child. Be gentle with yourself and offer thanks for all the hard work it has been doing on you behalf. Then be quiet and ask what it is feeling. Something might come to mind quickly, an emotion or a thought. If you are having problems with a particular project or goal, you might want to check in with your subconscious and use your dowsing skills to explore what’s going on. Deep-rooted blocks, false assumptions, and self-limiting attitudes can be buried deep in the subconscious. First you have to identify these blocks, and then you can begin to release them with the help of your pendulum. For instance, if you determine that the phrase, “I don’t deserve,” is rooted in your subconscious, you can do a clearing to help erase that from your mind.

Get settled in your favorite dowsing place. Take a few moments to center yourself and take a few deep, complete breaths. Calling upon your higher self to assist you, say out loud or to yourself, “I ask my higher self to examine my subconscious mind and remove the blocks that are related to ______ (the negative statement). Fill the space that is created with love and whatever I need most at this time.”

Dowse again to check and see if the block remains. If it does, you can talk with your subconscious and present reasons why that statement is false. Someone who deep down feels she doesn’t deserve all the success she has experienced might say to her subconscious, “We do deserve all the good we have in our life. We have worked hard to achieve our goals. We are a good person and we always try our best.”

Then dowse to see if the subconscious is now ready for a clearing, and repeat the process.

Another way to use dowsing to interact with your subconscious is when you want to make a major change in your life. If you are calling on willpower to lose twenty pounds, or quit smoking, or tackle a big project, check to make sure your subconscious is in agreement. If your subconscious doesn’t want the change to happen, most likely it won’t. That is worth repeating: you will not be successful in reaching your goals unless your subconscious is open to the idea.

Anytime you call upon willpower to make some sort of change, you are using your logical, rational, conscious mind to set it in motion. You will spend a lot of time thinking about your goal, perhaps drawing up a detailed plan that you can put into action. You tell yourself, “I can do this. I will put these steps into action and I will succeed.” But there are many times when that’s not enough. Is it lack of willpower, or is it a tug of war between the conscious and subconscious mind?

As a dowser, you have a distinct advantage. You can get in touch with the underlying motivations and beliefs of your subconscious simply by asking questions and using your pendulum.

Start by asking, “Are there subconscious blocks to this goal I would like to achieve?” If you get a positive response, you can follow with other questions to understand what you need to assist you exactly as it is, and then clear it. Call upon your higher self to assist you with removing whatever obstacles the subconscious has placed upon this goal.

Understanding what is going on inside the subconscious mind is a good place to start dowsing, because the process helps to remove obstacles—both to the goals we want achieve and to the intuition we want flowing in our lives. The clearer we are, the more accurate our dowsing will be. That journey starts by "knowing thyself."

If this resonates with you we can assist you in techniques that will help to enhance this power inside of you. You may see our work and contact us at: ravenstarenchantments.yolasite.com

To The Crystal Children

To The Crystal Children, The Indigo, the Translucent and the Light Walkers.

This time is the most supreme and unparalleled roller-coaster ride in the universe. We are indisputability riding the peaks and valleys of this enormous wave of quantum evolution. The yo-yo energy makes us feel like we are coming and going all at the same time. It feels like the energy flat lines and then bursts forth into the extreme. We are feeling drained and then so charged up that we can't sleep.

There seems to be no in-between moments anymore. Inner pressure and emotions are running high as we grapple with the increasing speed of the transformation, and with it, our evolution. This evolution revolution is so tangible and thick in the atmosphere that we could slice it with a knife. We hold our breath for the next big wave... and it is coming! It is exciting and a bit scary too!

The Elders also say that this is a rare and uniquely, powerful time for the evolution of the SOUL! This is why the planet is so crowded. Everyone wants tickets to this workshop! We are learning to create with limitless, omni-directional, creative energy. We are becoming aware of this because we are on the brink of leaving linear 3D time and moving into spiral cosmic time which means we will learn to create spherically! The Star Elders joke with me and say "Our learning curve just got bigger."

The creative force of the universe, that the Elders said decades ago was coming, is almost fully unleashed now. It had been held back for our protection as we navigated the dark cycles that we are coming out of now. It is time for us to step into the new energy and a new way to manifest reality. Multiple routes for creating are in front of us now. We feel like octopuses with our arms stretched out in a radial matrix of directions. Because of the confusing array of options in front of us, it has become harder to listen and act on a proper direction. The Herald of Truth or Consequencesre are so many equally feasible options in front of us. It is extraordinary creative time for humanity.

Our mechanical minds and our 3D comfort zones are struggling hard to hang on to

us, and try to get in the way of our evolution. But we are seeing natural occurring closures to things that are not serving us anymore. It almost feels like we are completely out of control of our life. This unhinged feeling is triggering a deeper surrender and peace that is so deep that the only thing left is a KNOWING that it is all going to be OK. We are floating in a new set of possibility.

In spite of feeling out of control, the Elders keep saying, over and over, for us to KEEP MOVING. Don't stall out because there are too many options to choose from. Just keep moving. This is not a time to curl up and hunker down and think you can wait out this wave. It does not work this way anymore. You need to learn to surf this wave of energy, and you can't do this by sitting still. Movement will help you integrate this concentrated and multiplying energy. Ultimately, it will become more comfortable to be unhinged from the 3D thus allowing us to be more in alignment with spherical time.

The Elders say to keep our minds open to the matrix of options ahead of us and to take action. Remember, your mind will want to do what it already understands. So watch out for the "head trap" we all have. Remember that the right option for you might be something brand new and maybe not be very practical within our old mind set. The mind loves practicality. It is safe. But we do not evolve without taking risks. We will not progress if we don't take a leap into unknown lands. What goes around will come around again.

So it doesn't really matter what you choose, because the universe is self-justifying. You will arrive just where you need to be. The matrix always goes back to center. So don't get too caught up in the details . . . keep your eyes of the big picture and leap.

The energy of sacred sites have been preparing us for decades for this time, and that is why we see so many people are called to travel. The sacred sites of the Maya lands are designed predominantly for us learning about spherical time and multi-dimensionality. They were the experts in time / space shifting. Uxmal, in the Yucatan, is one of the best sites to learn about spherical time and be unhinged from 3D. It has a mystical quality about it that does not seem real even while standing right in front of it. Labna and Kabah, also in the Yucatan, both have powerful dimensional doorways that offer a homeopathic inoculation with a frequency that teaches us to shift from one reality to another. The sacred sites in the Yucatan have been waking up and reopening their energies during the last three to four years. We have witnessed this personally. This area of the world is blasting transformational energies now for the benefit of humanity's evolution. We expect these energies in these Maya sites to escalate quickly now as we near the end of this cycle, as we prepare to leap into a new world.

We (all those reading this) are so lucky that we have had time to prepare for

this time. Many in the world have been keeping this 3D dimension going and are

starting to buy into the fear. We can see this when we turn on the news this

last week. It is our job to hold the space of this KNOWING that it will be OK . . . and transmit this KNOWING across the Earth daily, minute by minute, by our

thoughts and actions. Remember, we are all a part of each other. How we serve

ourselves is how we serve everyone. How we serve everyone is how we serve

ourselves. This is spherical service. The Maya call this action . . . "In

Lak'ech Ala K'in."

This message is my loving service to you!

Christmas Traditions: Pagan or Christian?

It’s December which means it’s time to sell books and push the ridiculous narrative that a “War on Christmas” is being waged. There’s currently no war on Christmas, and when there has been a war on the holiday it’s one that has generally pitted Christian against Christian. Christmas is a holiday with numerous traditions and a very long history. Some of that history can be traced to the paganisms of antiquity (perhaps even more so than Halloween), and some of it also arose from Christian tradition.

The modern Christmas holiday arose from a third source as well: secularism. There’s nothing religious about Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and Clement Moore’s A Visit From St. Nicholas (The Night Before Christmas) and both were highly influential in establishing Christmas as the Western World’s most popular holiday over the last two hundred years. Dickens and Moore didn’t invent Christmas, but they popularized the holiday in a completely secular way.

It doesn’t matter where our holiday customs come from, but it’s fascinating (and fun) to trace their various origins. Some of them are only a few hundred years old or less, and some are literally thousands of years old. Decorating with holly doesn’t suddenly make one a Pagan, nor does using the word Christmas make one a Christian. Christmas is a confluence of religious traditions, capitalism, story telling, and the human need to simply connect with those we love. Christmas is more powerful because it reflects a wide range of influences.

What follows are twelve different holiday traditions (of course it had to be twelve, twelve days of Christmas and all that) and an outline of their various origins. At the end of each tradition I render a verdict on whether that tradition is Pagan, Christian, or Secular. It’s all in good fun, but the information is accurate. Happy Holidays!

Holly and Ivy: I’ll always associate holly and ivy together during the Holidays, no doubt due to the song The Holly and the Ivy. Holly remains a popular Christmas decoration with its distinctive green leaves and red berries, but sadly about the only time ivy turns up during the holidays is when someone is singing the song I just mentioned. Decorating with holly (and ivy) is an ancient pagan tradition (1) and was used by the Romans to decorate at Saturnalia celebrations. Like most plants (or trees) on this list early Christians were well aware of the pagan origins of decorating with holly. Pope Gregory the Great even encouraged the continuation of some pagan traditions. In a letter written in 601 CE (Common Era) he wrote:

The idol temples of that race should by no means be destroyed, but only the idols in them. Take holy water and sprinkle it in these shrines, build altars and place relics in them . . . When this people see that their shrines are not destroyed they shall be able to banish error from their hearts and be more ready to come to the places they are familiar with, but now recognizing and worshipping the true God . . . . .Thus while some outward rejoicings are preserved, they will be able more easily to share in inward rejoicings. It is doubtless impossible to cut everything at once from their stubborn minds . . . .”

As we shall see, Gregory’s advice was taken on more than one occasion when dealing with Midwinter traditions. Verdict: Holly and Ivy are most certainly Pagan Traditions, but to be fair, if you are looking to decorate in December with greenery your choices are pretty limited.

Mistletoe: Mistletoe was a popular decoration at Roman winter festivals and is probably better known for killing Balder in Norse Mythology (darn Loki!) and as an alleged sacred plant of the Druids if Pliny the Elder is to be believed. (2) Ancient pagans most certainly decorated with it, but it didn’t become the kissing plant we are familiar with until centuries later. The “kissing bush” was first popularized in the late 18th Century and originally contained more than mistletoe. Holly, evergreens, fruit, and mistletoe were often bunched together and then hung over doorways to instigate kissing. No one is exactly sure why mistletoe became my favorite doorway ornament, but by the middle of the 19th Century it was a popular custom. (3) Mistletoe, like holly, stays green and produces berries over the winter, making it a natural for Yuletide decoration. Verdict: A little bit of Christian and Pagan. Pagans certainly decorated with it, as did later Christians, but it was Christians who began the kissing custom.

Christmas Tree: The Christmas Tree has a possibly long and tangled history. Ancient Romans and Greeks decorated their homes with evergreen branches and there’s even a Roman mosaic depicting Dionysus with what appears to be an early version of the Christmas Tree. Pagans certainly used evergreens, but pictures of Dionysus aside, no one is completely sure if they used entire trees. Pagans in what is now Poland used to hang evergreen branches from their ceilings and decorate them as well.

There are two early Christian traditions which seem to foreshadow the Yuletide tree. The first is the Paradise Tree, usually an evergreen tree decorated with apples, and used as a prop for Christian mystery (or miracle) plays. December 24 was the old feast day of Adam and Eve so they were often around near Christmas. German families also used to build Christmas Pyramids or Lichstocks, which were wooden frames often decorated with evergreen branches, fruit, and gifts. (4) The first “Christmas Tree” dates back to the early 1520′s in Germany and spread from there, becoming popular in the United States and Britain during the Nineteenth Century. (5) Verdict: Probably mostly Christian, but with a touch of Pagan on the side. I’d love to argue that Dionysus set up the first Christmas Tree but it doesn’t seem all that likely.

Poinsettia: The poinsettia (pronounced by some, including me, as poin*set*a) was first introduced to the United States in 1825 by the then ambassador to Mexico Dr. Joel Roberts Poinsett (who was a bit of an amateur botanist). During the winter the leaves of the poinsettia plant turn bright red (and other colors) making it a natural for holiday decorating. The plant became associated with Christmas due to a few different Mexican folktales. One tale tells of a little girl who wanted to give a gift to the baby Jesus but could only find weeds to bring him, which miraculously changed into poinsettias. Another more logical tale (how does a Mexican child get to the baby Jesus?) tells of a young boy who brought weeds to a Christmas Eve mass as an offering, where they too turned into poinsettias. The Aztecs were well aware of the poinsettia, but apparently didn’t use them for any specific religious purpose. (6) Verdict: Christian.

Yule Log: The custom of the Yule Log is first documented in Britain in the early 1600′s, where it was first called a “Christmas Log.” Later it was dubbed the Yule Log or sometimes the Christmas block. More than just a giant piece of wood, the Yule Log was part of a large procession before entering a home, ending with a round or four of drinks for everyone who delivered it safe and sound. Many Christmas revelers attached supernatural power to the Yule Log; its burning was said to keep a home safe from harm for the next year. (7) The Norse most likely burned large logs to ward off evil spirits near Midwinter, it’s possible that this tradition led to the development of the Yule Log centuries later. (8) Verdict: Most likely Christian but with Pagan echoes.

Lights and Light: The lights we decorate our homes (and trees) with during the Holiday season have a long history. Ancient pagans lit bonfires and candles on the winter solstice and the holidays around it to celebrate the return of the light. (9) In Christianity holiday lights are represented by Jesus as “the light of the world” and the star above Bethlehem that guided the magi written about in the book of Matthew. Solar deities such as Sol Invictus were also celebrated at Midwinter adding to the solar imagery. Verdict: Most definitely Pagan, though Jesus as the “light of the world” is a nice play on the idea.

Gift Giving: For many folks (especially of the younger variety) the highlight of Christmas is the receiving of gifts. Christians often look to the magi (more famous as “The Three Wise Men”) as the originators of the custom, but pagans were doing it long before Jesus was born. The Romans exchanged gifts at during Saturnalia (a winter holiday lasting the week of December 17-23), including toys and edible treats. (10) For several centuries gifts were given not at Christmas or the Winter Solstice but on New Year’s Day. Queen Victoria didn’t start giving out Christmas presents until 1900, instead she followed the old custom of New Year’s gifts. (11) It’s taken several centuries to slot out the various customs we now associate with Christmas, New Year’s, and Halloween. Verdict: Pagan, but don’t underestimate the power of capitalism for the importance placed on gift-giving during the Holidays. Both Christians and Pagans tended to give little gifts during their Winter revels in the centuries leading up to the modern era.

Santa Claus: The modern Santa Claus arose from a multitude of sources, but the least celebrated and most important is probably the Norse Odin (the Anglo-Saxon Woden). Early pictures of the man we’ve come to know as Santa are closer to the iconography of Odin than that of a Saint from Asia Minor. In the Netherlands Sinter Klaus’s first steed was not a reindeer but a horse, just like Odin. There’s most certainly a trace of the Turkish St. Nicholas in our modern Santa Claus, most notably his generosity, but he contains just a bit more pagan in his DNA than Catholic saint. The Dutch words for Saint Nicholas are Sinter Klaus, which has been corrupted into Santa Claus, so he has that going for him if you’re keeping score at home. Santa Claus’s most famous appearance owes very little to Catholic or Norse myth, and is pure fairytale. Clement Moore’s A Vist From Saint Nicholas is a fanciful and secular take on the figure and has helped shape Santa myth for nearly two hundred years now. The modern appearance of Santa is a gift from Madison Avenue. Verdict: Pagan, but at his best Santa is a wonderful blending of pagan, Christian, and commercial.

Stockings: According to legend Saint Nicholas once helped an old widower provide dowries for his three daughters by anonymously tossing three bags of coins into some stockings. (12) In popular myth, that story of Saint Nicholas is the reason why people hang stockings “by the chimney with care” today, but the inclusion of the stockings are most likely a late addition to the tale. The first (and in some places still the most common) receptacles for toys at Christmas were shoes. In many countries Saint Nicholas still puts presents in hopefully not smelly shoes. Clement Moore wrote about stockings in his poem guaranteeing their prominence in the United States and in some parts of Europe. Verdict: Christian as far as I can tell.

Christmas Cards: The first Christmas Cards were produced in England in 1843, by the 1860′s the custom caught on and began to spread across the pond. The Christmas Card tradition usurped the previous tradition of New Year’s cards, a tradition that dates back to the 1400′s. Christmas Cards also ended up eclipsing the once popular tradition of sending out cards on Valentine’s Day to people other than one’s sweetheart. Early Christmas Cards often used Valentine’s Day imagery. (13) Most early Christmas Cards were completely secular in nature with very few religious depictions. (14) Verdict: Secular, and most likely a money grab, here’s the start of your commercial Christmas.

The Date of Dec. 25: There is nothing in the Bible to suggest that Jesus was born in the winter. The only season slightly implied by the birth narratives found in the gospels is possibly spring due to the inclusion of shepherds, but even that’s just speculation. Christmas is celebrated on December 25 because that date coincided with a whole host of pagan festivals happening around that time of year. In the late Fourth Century the Christian writer Scriptor Syrus commented on the date of Christmas:

It was a custom of the pagans to celebrate on the same 25 December the birthday of the Sun, at which they kindled lights in token of festivity. In these solemnities and revelries the Christians also took part. Accordingly when the doctors of the Church perceived that CHristians had a leaning to this festival, they took counsel and resolved that the true Nativity should be solemnized on that day.”

The “birthday of the Sun” written about by Syrus was not much older than the Christian Christmas, dating back to only 274 CE, but there were several earlier pagan holidays with connections to Christmas. Mid-December through early January were home to a host of holidays in the old Roman Empire. In addition to Saturnalia there were the Kalendae in January, marked, much like Saturnalia, by merry making, feasting, and the exchange of gifts. Various groups celebrated the “Winter Solstice” from December 21-26 as no one was quite sure when exactly the shortest day of the year occurred. (15)

Northern Europeans celebrated Yule (which could mean “wheel” as in the wheel of the year, or perhaps “sacrifice” or “feast,” all worthy reasons for celebration) at the start of Winter with feasting, drinking, and general merry-making. Drinking might have been the most important of the observances. A poem about Harald Fairhair (the king who unified Norway) makes reference to the king intending to “drink jul (Yule)” even when out of Norway. Ritually passing the drinking horn was said to connect those drinking together to the gods themselves. Most likely there were also sacrifices to the gods and fertility rites, but information is sketchy and comes from mostly Christian sources. Eventually Yule became synonymous with Christmas and now the two words are used interchangeably. (16) Verdict: Most definitely Pagan, as early Christians didn’t celebrate the birth of Jesus for centuries.

The Birth Narratives of Jesus: For many people Christmas is about the birth of Jesus as related in the New Testament gospels of Matthew and Luke. While most historians think that Jesus was very much a real person, the majority of Bible scholars place little faith in the mythological narratives constructed by the authors of Luke and Matthew (even the authorship of those two books is up for debate). Matthew and Luke were written to express certain theological ideas. The first of those is that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, as such both authors take pains to put Jesus into circumstances they believe were foretold in the Torah. This is why Jesus is born in Bethlehem, and why Luke’s author had to create a census that never happened to get him there. But there are other elements in the two birth stories of Jesus that reflect the pagan religions of the time.

Jesus was born in humble circumstances (at least in Luke) but was born due to the mingling of mortal and divine; Jesus had a god for a father and a mortal for a mother, just like most ancient pagan gods who walked the Earth. There’s nothing particularly Christian (or Jewish) about the magi (later they would become the Three Wise Men and be given names) either, and they could be a reference to the proto-monotheism of the Zoroastrian faith. When gods were born in ancient mythology their arrival was often marked by miraculous occurrences, these occurrences are mimicked in the New Testament with the Star of Bethlehem and angels heralding the birth of Jesus. This is not to suggest that the rest of the gospels depict Jesus as some sort of ancient pagan deity, they do not, but the birth stories in Matthew and Luke do, at least a little bit. Verdict: A tie. There are certainly pagan elements in the story, but there’s also a lot of stuff related to Jewish prophecy and even some original thinking. The “first Christmas” of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph isn’t much different than our modern ones, a combination of many things.

What We As A Society Truly Are

What Is Lycan Wildness

Dr Raven Dolick MsD/Alpha Male

Dec 17, 2014

All rights reserved

Lycan's Are Not a bunch of roll playing idiots fighting vampires and raising carnage hell every Full Moon.

We are a focused prevailing force of nature well transcribed to beyond Babylonian times with instinctual nature well beyond your common illusion of intuition. To the fact intuition is a process man created to deny himself and his self purpose to the community at large!

The Lycan nature is instinctual and goes well beyond that which is intuitive. Many today search dark hallways of their illusions to even fin their own intuition, making the "wildness" as abstract as there popularized beliefs of self empowerment.

in its beginnings, is all about making conscious (or liberating) our dark or shadow nature, and to this end, Our PRIMAL (original) magick is undertaken. Empowered Lycans believe that we are already gods: but most people fail to understand this and continue to grovel: to others or to a 'god'.

The Primal Energy is proud, strong and defiant and detests the religions of the controllers and those who need religion to find real individual divinity for they will never know their true self and empowerment following controllers as sheep to slaughter. To the sabotaged beliefs of Christianity itself has been sabotaged from it's own PRIMAL (original) power.

As the crucified god founded by the Nazarene, Yeshua. A Nazarene (a follower of Yeshua) is afraid of dying and weighed down by guilt and envy. The religion of Yeshua has inverted all natural values, setting back the course of our conscious evolution. As Primal Energy, on the contrary, is a natural expression of the evolutionary or 'Promethean' urge within us: and its magick is a means to make us gods upon Earth, to realize the potential that lies within us all.

No wonder it is that the common mind today fears our freedom and ways.

Our ceremonies are a means to enjoy the pleasures of life: they offer carnality, the pleasure of fulfilling one's desires, the bringing of material and personal rewards and the joys of what others fear as darkness. But they are only a beginning, a stage toward something greater.

The protectors and lesson givers of the Mother Erath herself are bestowed unto us in the Primal responsibilities of the Lycan in every foot print we leave behind.

It is one of the purposes of the Primal Energy to guide those Initiates who may be in it-to full self empowerment for the common good of Gaia equivalent comparison to the works of The Arrangement by Hagur

Those who are interested along the difficult and dangerous path which is to us as a well structured Kith simply see it as the way. Those who do not wish and not evolved to be Primal Energy are self encouraged anyway to follow this path to Adeptship and beyond should simply enjoy the many pleasures which the Primal Force of Nature and it's Darkness to sheeple's offers.

In pure Primal Energy there is an appreciation of the role of women, for Lycan's at its highest level is concerned with the development of the individual : roles as such are a necessary part of self-development. To be played, discarded and then transcended.

The structure of traditional Temples and the rituals performed by those members of those Temples of our past reflect this appreciation and understanding.

For example, it is possible and indeed desirable for a Mistress of Earth to establish and: organize her own Temple Body unless she herself wishes otherwise, just as it is possible and desirable to celebrate the Sexual power of magick and Primal Creation using Her priest, naked, upon the altar while the Priestess conducts the service, such reversal being an accepted principle of the Primal Magick we all harness.

Returning to the Primal Force in all living creations is fundamentally a way of living - a practical philosophy of life. The essence of this way is the belief that we can all, as individuals, achieve far more with our lives than we realize. Most people waste the opportunities that life can, by magick, be made to bring. Thus it requires the ego and belief structures advanced minded animals as humans harbor to Devolve to now be able to Evolve.

So Primal Magick is simply the use of magickal forces or energies to enhance the life of an individual or individuals according to their desires BUT then apply it to the Kith structure and earth evolutionary process that the average guru and follower of others can not and never will harness!

This usage can be of two types

- the first is 'external' and the second is 'internal'.

External Primal Magick is essentially sorcery; the changing of external events, circumstances or individuals in accordance with

the wishes of the sorcerer. Internal Primal Magick is the changing of the consciousness of the individual magician using certain magickal techniques -

this is essentially the quest of the Initiate, we call pups, for the higher grades of magickal attainment, a following of the way of Adeptship.

To external magick belongs ceremonial and hermetic rituals and these alone when embraced suffice. To internal Primal Magick belongs The Way. Ceremonial rituals are rituals involving more than two individuals, the ritual taking place in either a nature herself and being Nature Herself which we call The Shift!, or a Temple area consecrated as a Natural Primal Sacred Space.

Ceremonial rituals involve NO set text with those of this level of empowerment which is followed by the participants, nor needed the wearing of ceremonial robes together with the use of certain items having magickal or Occult significance.

Hermetic rituals are usually undertaken by an individual working alone or with one assistant/companion.

GRANTED the Universe will always recycle that which is not needed and only the mind of man resists its changing and Shift for Nature alone INSTINTUALLY embraces and INvokes this recycling.

But Primal Energy, The Lycan Way, goes where it is needed and goes on its own causing great responsibility to the individual harnessing it and therefor many HUMANS can not and will not embark in its success and power because the HUMAN mind is the reason all is aflux on this great Mother Earth we protect and serve.

Like all animals, humans have instincts, genetically hard-wired behaviors that enhance our ability to cope with vital environmental contingencies. Our innate fear of snakes is an example. Other instincts, including denial, revenge, tribal loyalty, greed and our urge to procreate, now threaten mankinds own very existence. Any attempt to control human behavior is bound to meet with resistance and disapproval. Unless we can change our behavior, humans are facing the end of civilization as we have made it to be.

To the children of the wolf (Lycan's), our problem has several elements.

  1. Mankind as a society have invented economic and social systems that encourage greedy behavior, and we have actually institutionalized runaway greed.
  2. Mankind in general worldwide is in a state of complete denial about the growth of human populations.
  3. Earth's finite resources simply cannot support 7 billion of us in the style to which we’d like to live.
  4. We must make a choice between quantity and quality of human life and more focused so Our own life!
  5. To head off the inevitable collapse, we can no longer wait and merely react but we must become proactive. We must find ways to control dangerous human instincts, especially denial, revenge, tribal loyalty that dictates murder and control, greed and our urge to procreate.

People have an instinctive fear of snakes. We are afraid of snakes because humans evolved alongside these creatures, many of which are dangerous. This fear saved the lives of our ancestors and became hard-wired innate behavior, also known as instinct.

Similarly we possess many other instincts that were adaptive during most of human history. Our immense propensity for denial may have enabled prehistoric humans to cope with menacing situations, but today we use denial to avoid confronting reality, especially overpopulation (a word that has become politically incorrect). Tribal loyalty and revenge made sense when we lived in small tribes, but both these instincts now threaten our very existence.

Human instincts evolved long ago when we lived off the land as hunter-gatherers and took refuge in simple shelters like caves. Although our instinctive behaviors were adaptive then (that is, they enhanced our ability to survive and reproduce), many do not work so well in modern man-made environments. Our brains appear to be organized in ways that promote such duality. In fact, some of our instinctive emotions have become extremely serious impediments now threatening mankinds very survival. Let us focus on denial, tribal loyalty, revenge, greed, and procreation. Any attempt to control human behavior is bound to meet with resistance and disapproval from the Lycan's -- however, we have reached the point where we have no alternative.

For example, greed must certainly have been adaptive for early cave dwellers. In times of scarcity, a greedy caveman who refused to share his food stores at the onset of winter would have been more likely to survive until spring and hence would have enjoyed higher fitness (reproductive success) than a generous one who shared his limited resources with the less fortunate. Natural selection programmed us to be selfish. Greed is a natural human instinct -- we are all selfish and greedy at heart, and for sound evolutionary reasons. Currently, we have institutionalized runaway greed, allowing others to become billionaires -- what sense does it make to have more than you can actually use?

Similarly, tribal loyalty and revenge made sense -- if another caveman messed with your tribe, you bashed him over the head and he was unlikely to do it again. Such instincts worked to our advantage when we were cavemen, but have become dangerously manipulative in today's man-made artificial world. Revenge makes no sense when one contemplates pushing a red button to set off nuclear explosives that will destroy yourself as well as your enemies. Likewise, an instinctive urge towards tribal loyalty was useful when we lived in small bands, but such loyalties are now exploited to pit nationalities, political parties and religions against one another, often leading to deadly confrontations.

Humans explain events and phenomena in two very different ways then the Lycan.

One approach in the common man and his brain is to knowing (common sense) involves thinking and is objective, based on making repeatable observations that allow us to predict nature and future events -- this rational logical approach to knowing led to scientific methodology. Another, very different, non-objective mystical approach to "knowing" (faith-based) is based primarily upon the invocation of supernatural explanations, bolstered by authorities who claim to have special access to supernatural sources. This irrational non-scientific approach, championed by religions of all kinds, has helped many humans accept and cope with things they have no power to change or difficulty understanding rationally, such as unexpected deaths, other misfortunes, or natural disasters.

Unfortunately, the power conferred on religious leaders has often led to serious abuses and resistance to accepting the rational understanding of the functioning of nature as demonstrated by new scientific discoveries. These two diametrically opposed ways we interpret and "know" about our environments have contributed to the regrettable past and modern day conflicts between science and religion.

Human intelligence has also evolved so that we have remarkably good abilities to detect intentions of other humans in social interactions. Within the true seasoned Lycan communities we this evolution as it seems to have a propensity for superstitious mysticism and a tendency to emphasize explanations that invoke intention over those based on sheer mechanism, situation, or circumstances.

Indeed, humans may be predisposed to see intentions in their friends and enemies. Similarly, we attribute conscious thought and intention to the actions of non-human animals (anthropomorphism). For example, predators want to kill us and prey want to escape from us. We even look for meaning and purpose in inanimate things such as the climate or the universe. Thus a destructive storm is interpreted as having occurred because people strayed from religious tradition or did something wrong and needed to be punished. This is again the denied process of instinctual nature and true power!

Everyone, religious or not, relies on objective rational thinking to handle problems encountered in everyday life. Thus, we all know we must eat to stay alive, things fall down not up or sideways, we seek to avoid collisions when driving, balance our budgets, etc. Remarkably, people switch back and forth between rational knowing to mystical faith-based "knowing" with ease. Natural selection has organized our brains in ways that promote such duality. Natural selection molded our emotions and instincts, including setting aside the right half of our brain for storage of subconscious irrational information. Rational logic and common sense reside in the left half of our brain along with speech. Lycan Primal Energy argues that this duality effectively gave the irrational right side of our brains invisible control over the rational left side:

"To properly accommodate this vital streak of insanity in an increasingly rational brain it was first necessary for people to perceive, quite accurately, that their genetic imperatives -- instincts, feelings and desires -- represented a source of considerable wisdom and 'super-natural' power; and second, to believe, less accurately, that this inner source had its roots in an invisible world of super-intelligence, a mystical world that lay beyond rational comprehension." This is there created illusion and not the creation of Primal Law.

"Under the spell of our carefully programmed 'spirituality', we cannot help falling in love, yearning for idealized sexual gratification, nurturing our children, forging tribal bonds, suspecting strangers, uniting against common enemies, and on occasions, laying down our lives for family, friends or tribe."

People enjoy and thrive on mysticism as illustrated by the huge success of the Harry Potter books. We train our children to believe in age-specific mythical creatures, starting with the tooth fairy, Easter bunny, and Santa Claus ("Papa Noel" in Brazil). One father decided it was time to break the news to his 12 year-old son who still believed in Santa Claus. When he told the boy there was no Santa Claus, his smart kid got a gleam in his eye and said "Oh, I get it, there's no God, either!" Then, Daddy had to quickly backtrack and reassure his son that God was indeed real. Kids are expected to outgrow the tooth fairy, Easter bunny, and Santa Claus, but never the God myth. That one is supposed to endure throughout life. Religions occupy a very special place in the irrational right side of our brains adjacent to our carefully programmed feeling of 'spirituality'! Any challenge to a devoutly religious person's faith meets with adamant opposition, even physical hostility.

Interestingly, music resides in the irrational right side of the brain in the same place where language and speech reside in the rational left side (Broca's area). Music evokes powerful emotions in humans and is exploited by our leaders to arouse us into action: thus national anthems evoke patriotism and are used to inflame our tribal instincts as we go into insane wars. Religious and political fervor is exploited similarly as religious and political groups are pitted against each other. Sports fans form similar opposing groups using their team's theme song to elicit passion.

We are born into a given skin color, nationality, language, religion, and culture -- all are accidents of birth but have profound effects on our lives and the societies we live in. Indeed, taken together they determine which side you'll be on in the next war! Few people are able to shift from their birth group to another. The rules of a level playing field dictate that people will always want to immigrate from an impoverished birth group to another that enjoys a higher standard of living. Governments discourage illegal immigration. Oceans and border patrols reinforce boundaries and maintain heterogeneity and disparities between national groups.

The driving force behind all living entities is Darwinian natural selection, or differential reproductive success. Unfortunately, natural selection is blind to the long-term future -- natural selection rewards just one thing: offspring. It is a short-sighted efficiency expert. Individuals who leave the most genes in the gene pool of the next generation triumph -- their genetic legacy endures, whereas those who pass on fewer genes lose out in this ongoing contest. One of our most powerful instincts is the urge to procreate, which manifests itself in different ways in males than in females. Males simply want lots of sex whereas females are programmed with nesting behaviors that involve a safe home place for their family (of course, sexual selection is much more complex than that one sentence brief synopsis). Primitive humans did not even know how babies were formed, but nevertheless they made them. By favoring parts that fit and nerve endings that tingled in just the right places, natural selection, that ultimate puppet master, made certain we’d reproduce. Hence we are programmed to have instincts to breed. And breed, we do, in fact, we are much too good at it for our own good, all 7 billion of us. If we don't stop reproducing soon, human civilization is doomed.

Some humans, unfortunately the most successful from the perspective of natural selection, combine greed with breeding and have obscenely large families. Rather than be celebrated on TV, such people should be social outcasts, ostracized from society, because they are stealing others rights to reproduce. Earth simply doesn't have enough resources to support all of us in the style to which we’d like to become accustomed. Moreover, resources such as water, land, and food, are finite, whereas human populations are always expanding, steadily reducing per capita shares. People are encouraged to think that resources are ever expanding when the opposite is true.

We are in a state of total denial about the overpopulation crisis -- instead of confronting reality, people only want to relieve its many symptoms, such as shortages of food, oil, and water, global climate change, pollution, disease, loss of biodiversity, and many others. Overpopulation is a near fatal disease that cannot be cured by merely alleviating its symptoms. “Take an aspirin, get a good night's sleep, and come back in the morning.” Unless we face reality and reduce human populations, we are in for a world of hurt and even greater human misery. Of course, eventually, our population must decrease, but we could lessen the upcoming misery by taking action now. Unfortunately, most people are unlikely to be proactive and are much more likely to procrastinate until they are forced to react.

Competition is ubiquitous wherever resources are in short supply. Plants compete for light and water. Fungi and microbes compete for nutrients. Animals compete for food and space. Competition leads to behaviors we identify as greed. Humans have institutionalized greed -- we allow, even encourage, runaway greed. Our political and economic systems facilitate greed. Greed is the underlying driving force for both capitalism and entrepreneurship. Our banking and insurance companies, coupled with the formation of limited liability corporations have allowed greed to explode. Corporations control politicians, who pass legislation that allows tax evasion and assures obscene corporate profits.

Nevertheless, some of Earth’s greedy enemies can be identified -- overpopulation, banking and economic systems, insurance companies, corporations (especially big oil), and corruption in governmental officials, to mention a few of the most important.

Early on, the framers of our American economic system intended to control corporate privileges and powers tightly as this was instinctual law covering peoples asses. They wanted to subjugate corporations to democratic oversight and to exploit these regulated institutions as infrastructure for building canals, roads and bridges. At issue was who would control authority to grant corporate charters. The subject was discussed at length and voted on in the Constitutional convention, but because the states were opposed federal control, the final text did not include any mention of corporations. States were given the power to charter corporations, but sparingly, because corporate power was seen as a potential threat to democracy (Nace 2003). The Supreme Court of Virginia ruled that a charter should not be given if the applicant's "object is merely private or selfish; if it is detrimental to, or not promotive of, the public good." Limited corporate powers were given for specific public projects like toll roads, bridges, canals, and banks. Incorporation was denied if it smacked of monopolistic power, and if not, charters were limited in spatial and temporal scope as well as activities allowed. Charters were revoked if transgressions occurred. Such restrictions on corporate powers were gradually lifted, especially by small states like New Jersey and Deleware. Railroads became powerful monopolies. Today's corporations have superhuman powers: they live forever, know no spatial or temporal boundaries, and can shape shift and rename themselves at will.

But the people have designed and allowed power to be over them though an economic system that has allowed greed to explode. Corporations now exist solely for whatever profits they can make and as such, they are inherently greedy at heart. Corporations have no conscience and because they are not people, they do not qualify to have constitutional rights despite the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision that recently gave them such powers (indeed, America no longer enjoys a democracy but with that court decision, it has become a corporacracy).

Corporate executives are paid obscene salaries and are not personally liable for activities they oversee. Corporations control politicians, who pass legislation that allows tax evasion and assures obscene corporate profits. They may well also control judges. Our Supreme Court's absurd ruling gave corporations unlimited power to buy politicians. Corporations cannot be abolished because we can't live without them, but we must find ways to restrict corporate privileges. Obscene CEO salaries should be a thing of the past. CEOs should be held liable and should pay exorbitant taxes. Corporations should not be allowed to evade taxes by moving offshore. Corruption in corporations must no longer be tolerated -- we cannot allow them to own our judges and politicians, and politicians must become more responsive to opinions of average citizens. Executive and political privileges must be eliminated. Politicians should not enjoy all the special perks they have given themselves -- they should have the same health insurance as the rest of us and should ride in tourist class alongside us in airplanes.

Our culture has institutionalized runaway greed as illustrated by the stock market: it is designed to assist Wall Street executives to profit from small investors who buy shares of corporate stocks hoping to grow their investment. Instead, each time the market crashes small investors lose while larger investors manage to gain at their expense.

With amazing prescience, in 1864 Lincoln said, "corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow . . . until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed." He also said "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." Runaway human greed now threatens our very future and must somehow be controlled. Any attempt to control greed will be strenuously opposed, especially by the rich and powerful. Indeed, it may prove to be impossible to overcome such destructive human instinctive behaviors.

As a wise woman from a third world country once said at the UN: “If the rich countries refuse to share their wealth with us, we will certainly share our poverty with them.” We need a more egalitarian society with assured health care, shelter, food, and water for all. What’s the point of having more than you can actually use? No one should own more than he/she could earn with his/her own effort and skill. One way to reign in greed might be to set an upper limit on income so that nobody could become obscenely wealthy. One practice that contributes to or even drives much economic growth is usury: we should seriously consider limiting or even abolishing interest.

Our tax laws need to be revised and our economic system must be changed radically. Taxes would escalate to 99.9% with rising incomes. Instead of getting a deduction for each dependent, we should tax people for having children. Taxes on the first child would be moderate, but they would escalate rapidly so that nobody could afford to have very many children. This would reduce population growth and discourage irresponsible parenthood. Unwanted children and juvenile delinquency would diminish. We should impose a similar taxation scheme on vehicles, graduated by size and fuel efficiency. Hopefully, combined with high fuel prices, such taxes would eliminate SUVs and Hummers. This would conserve diminishing fossil fuels and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Many other changes are needed, for example, solar water heaters should be mandatory in this new world. But all such changes only provide symptomatic relief, temporary by its very nature. We must confront our life threatening disease and reduce our population. If there were fewer of us, the average quality of life for each could be improved.

Our economic system is based on the principle of a chain letter: “grow, grow, grow the economy.” Ponzi schemes like this cannot work for long in a finite world. We must replace the archaic concept of an ever-growing economy with a sustainable one in equilibrium where each of us leaves the planet as it was when we entered it (Solzhenitsyn 1974; Nadeau 2008; Daly 1991, 1997).

John Stuart Mill (1859) pointed out that wise people have seen this coming for a long, long time:

I cannot . . . regard the stationary state of capital and wealth with the unaffected aversion so generally manifested towards it by political economists of the old school. I am inclined to believe that it would be, on the whole, a very considerable improvement on our present condition. I confess I am not charmed with the ideal of life held out by those who think that the normal state of human beings is that of struggling to get on; that the trampling, crushing, elbowing, and treading on each other’s heels . . . are the most desirable lot of humankind . . . It is scarcely necessary to remark that a stationary condition of capital and population implies no stationary state of human improvement. There would be as much scope as ever for all kinds of mental culture and moral and social progress; as much room for improving the Art of Living, and much more likelihood of its being improved.” (my italics).

Mill wrote that almost 150 years ago -- it’s basically a statement about how a stationary world can be desirable. In a stationary world, you don't have to worry about inflation, bubbles bursting, stock market crashes, or survival kits. A stationary world is sustainable and the world stays the same from day to day, so that we can focus in on things that really matter and plan for future generations. Let’s take Mill's advice and get to work on improving the “art of living”. Let's be proactive and show some concern for our afterlives: let's save something for our grandchildren.

That is the true essence of Primal Law and energy working through the Lycan community for the great Mother Earth!
